Hands down my favorite artist. Not only because of his catalog but his dedication to the youth. Pure Legend that never got his truly deserved recognition among the reggae community

Sugar Minott has been my favourite singer for as long as i can remember. I saw him perform in Leeds,West Yorkshire,a good few times. Whenever I went to Jamaica my daughter and I would go and see Sugar at Youthman Promotion Studios at Robert Crescent, he knew my family. Such a warm , pleasant person, with a voice that is second to none and paved the way for many up and coming artists of the time.

@stephengrandison62014 күн бұрын
@reggaeappreciation society, nuff respect for featuring Sugar Minott and Youthman Promotion, but some of your facts are incorrect. The reason for the sound to stop playing in the late 80's was bad management, every time Sugar went overseas and came back the sound had technical problems, it was not being managed properly. Sugar couldn't do everything by himself. Sing, produce, run the studio, manage production and manage the sound. The sound is back up and running with some of the original crew. A force to be reckoned with. Ragga Steve

@@stephengrandison6201 and as it was mentioned...the money that he was sending back from London to JA to feed and clothe the youth, the guy that Sugar left in charge was spending it on his friends!!
