The one in Germany about 2015 is really good too. Every generation produce kings. My dad's generation was Mr. Marley, Burning Spear, Gregory Issacs, Dennis Brown, Steel Pulse, Peter, Jimmy, Judy, to name a few. My generation Buju, Junior Reid, to current generation; Jah 9, Chronixx, Jr. Gong. It's a great feeling. Positive vibes big time.

I was live at this concert. That's me at 2:15:30 I appear for only like 5sec though. This show was LEGENDARY. I bought a regular ticket, that's all I could afford, but as the show started to come to an end, I moved through the crowd to the front because I could not let this moment pass me. Chronixx... in Kenya! I had to see him live and upfront! So I pushed through the crowd to the VIP section and it paid off for those 5sec, thank you whoever captured me.

@mixtaper 2 жыл бұрын
@@marlolevy8917 Who am I? No one special, just someone who is looking at the data. Who are these "Great Artist" you speak of? Because I do not hear any of their music on Jamaican radio stations. All I hear is Trap Dancehall. The majority of bookings for Reggae artists are international. The largest Reggae music festival is not in Jamaica. Not to mention, there are multiple large Reggae festivals that are comparable to Reggae Sumfest which only happens once a year in Jamaica.

@@mixtaper I know what you're talking about but I think it's because, this is classic music for us, but for the youth it's the music of their parents and grand parents. U-Roy, Burning Spear, Toots could fill big venues in Paris (my hometown) but not in London (I live in Brixton). Even 10 or 20 years ago, Japan had a bigger sunsplash than Jamaica. The Chronixx, Proteje and co, make reggae exciting again for the youth.
@ivorysteele
@ivorysteele Жыл бұрын
@@mixtaper use your brains. Jamaica is a small country of 3 million people. Of course there will be bigger reggae festival in Europe. There more reggae dancehall sound system in Germany than Jamaica. This is due to population dummy. Chronixx was made and built in Jamaica. His father was even a better singer than him. Stop spreading nonsense. Jamaica has reggae in different genres and we can choose what to listen to.
