What the NCAA did to USC was EVIL! They punished innocent athletes for something USC had no knowledge of. USC's 2011 team finished #5 at the end of the season, but was banned from the post season. Countless players never played for USC because of those scholarship reductions besides the dozens upon dozens of players who were denied a post season who did not even know Reggie Bush. Lane Kiffin truly had it hard in the Reggie Bush sanction years. NCAA even took away USC BCS National title even though it alleged Reggie Bush only played two games that season with whatever illegal benefits they said it got. The two years year Caleb Williams played for USC he at least made $5 million doing it while when Reggie Bush played accepting a $5 hamburger from an alumni booster would have been illegal.

Good on him, since there’s no proof he should sue the NCAA for $100M. What monster penalizes kids for something they were not even a part of? This organization consistently showing that they are thugs and bullies! The NCAA needs to be managed very differently. I wish everyone that supports the NCAA in their decision to take his trophy and stain his name, would live by this in their lives. Since you agree, with consequences for things you didn’t do, then that means anyone can say anything about you with no proof and everyone should just believe it and there should be consequences for you as well. See no one agrees with that, so why do we agree with it when it comes to Bush?

@rayontita19126 ай бұрын
@@jusletursoulglobaby What are you basing your dismissal on? 1. He can sue them, he just did. 2. He is not suing them for NIL proceeds, even though the lawsuit from past athletes had such a good chance of winning that the NCAA and schools settled it for nearly $2 Billion because of how ironclad the SCOTUS judgment that changed everything was. The judge in that particular suit wrote in preliminary that the chance of victory was significant because of flagrant violations of the Sherman Act. 3. Therefore, while NIL has changed things, the Supreme Court did not create a new law that suddenly made NIL legal, its ruling was essentially saying "what you have been doing is illegal, and unAmerican" (Justice Kavanaugh's words, not mine). It didn't change the law, it confirmed that the NCAA had been breaking the law. Anyone can sue them within the statute of limitations, now. It's open.

This interview is so weird because it totally avoids what actually happened with Bush during school and also how jealousy and extreme resentment drove the NCAA to make an example of USC even though Bush's violations had nothing to do with the school. Bush's family did receive use of a house, furnishings and appliances, and more, all thanks to an unlikely character: a wealthy family friend(acquaintance?) who dreamed of becoming a super-agent to sports stars and saw Reggie as his "way in." The point Reggie dances around in the interview is that, since this guy wasn't an agent already or connected to USC at all, it wasn't "pay for play" or booster gifts. But the truth is, however bizarre the circumstances, it was effectively a patron - athlete relationship with significant financial benefit, which was against the rules then. Anyway, that's why this interview seems so awkward at times. No question he got a raw deal - he probably knew very little about what what even discussed between his family and this odd acquaintance/patron.

This is my opinion and I’m entitled to my opinion and this is the way I viewed it University of Southern California Garnered national acclaim, success, and attention. This attention was not liked by the other divisions that are now on top. I won’t name any divisions specifically so I feel like a group of people got together and say, how can we bring down the university of Southern California And Reggie Bush was the target that them to bring down the University of Southern California. Then they realigned all these divisions and the next thing you know the other divisions became the supreme divisions the PAC 10 teams could lose one game and drop 14 places in the national polls, this was all a scam to bring down university And I’m not saying USC is completely innocent but they did nothing. No other school is also doing yet. They were the ones targeted so if you look at the rankings today and the teams that are on top and the divisions that are on top is not hard to see what really happened.
