I think he made the right move. He knew the community. If he didn't step in a war could have popped off that could have lasted until today. Remember Eight Trey and Rollin 60's was a one-on-one fight then someone escalated it. Bur Sr. didn't tell us who won. LOL

Reggie Sr tells the best stories on KZbin and seems like a truly good hearted guy. I could sit and listen to him all day. You were lucky Reg Jr to have such a good daddy. Sr is the type of guy who needs a top position in power in the Compton area because someone like him with his ability to connect with people and being from the area could really make a difference talking to the young gangsters and the OG's. He showed them respect and they in turn showed him respect. I can see some of him in you Reg Jr. You have been a cop and also a criminal but your a good dude. All of us have made mistakes or done wrong but that doesn't define who we are. I'm from Reg Jr's era and remember most of the things he talks about. Reggie Jr went above and beyond doing his job and just helping Suge out at times. I respect his loyalty to his friend. He's a stand up guy

I saw somebody say on another post that this is why you need police officers FROM the community. It’s hard now due to the huge metropolis cities. There’s literally no way of having someone from a neighborhood in every neighborhood in 6, 7, or 8 figure population cities. But this is a perfect example of what we miss. Police nowadays don’t know you or your family, have no ties to the community and therefore less sympathy for you in general. Even though a big part of what Brother Reggie did was just a smart assessment. But knowing your area is huge.

Imagine if this was what gang banging was like You sell your drugs and do what you do with your gang (repping your neighbourhood etc , whatever it is gangs do) but any disagreements with other gangs are handled with a one on one meet up. No guns involved Imagine how many people would still be alive today Unfortunately A-LOT of these gangsters were raised by their mums no father figures so they act out on emotions rather then common sense Nothing more dangerous than an emotional gangster

Growing up in NY in the 70's-80's, I never saw cops break up a 1 on 1. Dudes got soft after that and started using weapons cause they couldn't handle a 1 on 1. That's when cops started getting involved. Now you can't even have an argument without police being called. People need to get back to handling conflicts without involving the police. The real issue is the lack of respect, honor, and humility in oneself and others.
