Everyone should watch this because it shows you don't have to do music or road, there are more avenues for the young community. Great example of a person like Reggie.

Can we please start seeing the full podcasts please? This was absolutely amazing! We need to see and hear more discussions like these about real life issues and experiences from black voices that are in the media.

I love Reggie. He comes across as a decent human with so much depth and character. He always brings that along to his documentaries. Reggie please give us more docs.

Can't believe I missed this episode, and to think he came here after one of my favorite documentaries of him in SA. And as someone who loves doccies, gearing from one of favz whythey do what they do is really inspiring. It's so cool seeing how much the pod has changed but the consistency of the natural flow of the conversations is just 👌🏾🔥

MY RACE WILL NEVER DEFINE ME. Powerful words for any disenfranchised group. You should never let your background disabilities race sex hold you back from what you actually want to do with your life. I feel society conditions people to think they can’t based of stereotypes defined by media and society putting false narratives in the way of people which effect them mentally in getting on in the world. That’s why the social media is great tool gives everyone a platform to express themselves.

Perhaps, the phrasing would have been better if he said "my race alone [will never] doesn't define me". As that statement afterwards suggest he actually said his background made him who he (Yates) is. Just my thoughts...

It's nothing to do with "first world problems". Even in our own cities or country people are living in tougher situations. There's always someone more worse off than us.
