Bro I’ve watched dozens of your videos. This BY FAR was the most helpful. You broke down a lot of the key principles of learning by ear in LIVE TIME and explained everything you were thinking. I instantly became a much better player watching this, it validated a lot of ideas and theories I had on this. Thank you so much. More in depth videos like this please !

I can figure out the base note by ear but having difficulty putting the chord together any tips?
@reggiewatkins_Ай бұрын
00:58 - at this timestamp I explain my methods around this actually. So trick is to memorize (write down, just practice , or just get it solid in your tool belt) all the chords you ever play ! Or learn! The reason is , because when we find a bass note , we can already a reference for what chords CAN possibly go with that bass note ! Getting more chords comes over time yeah and you gotta be on purpose about that part But .. you already are ahead of the game because you can find bass notes easy already ! You build up your chord memory, and you’ll be FLYING seriously
