The only thing that has consistently defeated my Bolt deck lately has been Lugia and my internet connection. Regidrago is fun, especially after getting setup with cool dragon-types in the discard pile, but honestly the pure Bolt/Ogerpon strategy has played a bit more consistently for me. All anecdotal, of course! Either way, thanks for the video!

The only thing killing me with regidrago is froslass and monkidori. Prolly just new card hype, but not having anything to protect against froslass and monkidori just healing phantom dive damage is really rough. Cant wait for kuyrem next set that can snipe 3 mons for 110 damage to really counter over benched small pokemon decks

20:35 Dont worry too much about discarding 2 energy switches because you cant get them back with Drago VStar ability. Personally I would have took 2 energy switches instead of a research because your board was looking pretty good

How are you sniping the bench with manaphy there?

Manaphy blocks damage, not block damage counters. Those are treated as two different forms of damage distribution in the Pokemon TCG and attacks like Dragapult’s Phantom Dive and Sableye’s Lost Mine go through Manaphy because they distribute damage counters.

@@Agape11 They boss up Manaphy and Cancelling Cologne so they can use Kyurem's attack, which is damage and not damage counters. But if they just want to drop damage counters with Dragapult's attack, they don't need Cancelling Cologne.

What do you think of Carmine instead of Squawkabilly? For not being a dead card post turn 1

I don’t mind Carmine per se, but it’s not necessarily a clean substitution for Squawkabilly. The trade-off is that it’s much easier to get Squawkabilly on turn 1 thanks to ball search. Meanwhile, you pretty much have to start Carmine in order to take advantage of its turn 1 effect. In order to make Carmine more possible, you’re then running more copies of it, which then becomes a worse Professor’s Research after turn 1. I don’t mind someone experimenting with Carmine in their list though! I’m not even necessarily against running both Squawkabilly and Carmine

@@InThirdPerson Ahh right, that occurred to me after I posed the question - that ball search enhances Squawkabilly over Carmine. (I was thinking Nest Ball, but Ultra obviously works too!) Thanks for the feedback. 🙂👍 Enjoyed the video, made me want to try this, if I have enough credits for the cards.

@@InThirdPerson I was think Squawkabilly is kind of a liability post-turn 1. If on the board, it's like a Lumineon in terms of 2-prize boss liability. If drawn, it's a dead card. But there's so much card draw in this deck that it probably doesn't really matter.

Switch Cart only works on a basic in the active spot, not on Regidrago VStar.
