A theory I have always had is that the reason regigigas has slow start and stats not as good is because when we go to catch him we are waking him up after who knows how long and so he is not at full strength

I have a theory that when he was able to move continents yes it was powerful but over time something must of happened over time maybe it was to do with creating other Pokemon it must of gave them some of its power to the Pokemon it created or something happened and it had to use all its power to stop it same with the other regis and that's why they turned to stone to regain their power that's why regigas has the same stats as slackoff that's my theory of regigas and the other regis ps: please reply

Recently heard a theory that he’s made from a shard of arceus’ egg but also after looking at the plate inscriptions from legends arceus it sounds like there could have been other giants and they were turned into plates, possibly hinting that they were older than arceus and he transformed them upon his birth… it’s all so vague tho but it’s fun to theorise

Gigas still needs a form similar to the hoenn trio (like a restored or ancient form maybe caused by an item or the presenceof the regis) something that strips off the moss and lights up the patterns on his body, make him look boosted up with power, maybe his ability could swap to the exact opposite to keep some balance instead of starting out slow and weak and then gaining those buff stats maybe his ability could be like an overclock which would give him access to the jacked up stats for a few turns and then leave him burnt out after (lowered stats) as if he just consumed a mass amount of energy, would help explain why he became so slow and powerless that moss grew on his body and has a tough time building up his powerful momentum. Maybe he towed around the continents when emmence energy coursed through his body and then when his work was done he was left drained and he retired to less demanding work (like building the regis) this would give are boi gigas some more viability and help shape the lore around him and give a reason why he is the way he is now 🤔 when I was a kid playing pearl I had head cannon like this and now that I've tracked down and played a copy of platinum in my adolescence it brought back the thought
