I had the pleasure to hear this woman in concert many many years ago in the late 80's in L.A. I was in the nose bleed seats, my back to the damn wall. For one song she turned off and sat down the mic and sang. Her beautiful voice was as clear and silky as if I were in front row. She has a set of real pipes!

Classic singer and song. I didn't fully appreciate this lovely singer until now. almost 40 years later. This song is resonates in my mind of an era of great singers, black and white, male and female. Such diversity and variety but singers and the styles of how they sung so fantastic! There are still some new voices today that are trying to stand out but so few by comparison to the 80's and 70's.
