Region To Region - Mystery Lake to Coastal Highway

In this episode, we will start at Carter Dam in Mystery Lake and head out to Coastal Highway.
For sake of ease, a custom no wolf game was selected for this tutorial.

Just got the game for the switch a few months back and have only been in mystery lake so far because it was the first region so I started there and this was a good video to help give me progress and find new regions

I’m playing stalker, I’m trying to stock up so I can do a 500 day survival on stalker. I’ve nearly cleared PV and already cleared ML and Muskeg and it’s only been 23 days. I was going to hit costal next but looking at the tile it takes to get past the ravine I think ima wait a while and go for the broken railroad. It seems like a more straight shot… I have my main base in ML at the camp office where I keep all tools and weapons at the time with PV farm as a outpost with most of the food from the PV map

Broken Railroad is a great region with much to offer but watch those Stalker wolves there they can be quite sneaky :)

@@longdark4ever are they different than normal wolves? I’ve played my fair share of Five night at Freddy’s, I can keep an eye on all of my surroundings like a paranoid schizophrenic. I’ll head to the railroad next then. When would you recommend going to costal and what do you usually take with you for the first trip?

@@blades1080 no the wolves are the same, but its a pretty small region and they are more tightly packed and are sometimes behind boulders and hills, I would bring fuel, food, and weapon items, water is always the first thing you make and the first thing you drop lol, try to travel light as possible, the loot is pretty good in Stalker so I dont think you need to go crazy carrying everything, make sure to torch travel in case you get surprised by any furries along the way, also I would recommend Coastal when you got decent clothes and weapons and ammo, Coastal has a good amount of wolves around the town, there are good shelters there three bear spawns and the best fishing in the game imo lol go there whenever, its my favorite region actually

Im nearing 200 days on Stalker, my best run yet, and Im going for 500 days. I need to get across the Ravine but Im seriously thinking of going around just to avoid those damn tracks ffs. Would be gutted to fall off them and end the run

Lol those tracks are a nemesis for a lot of people, many are surprised I just casually walk across without even stopping lol and GG on on your 200 days

@@longdark4ever Thank you mate. My gamer-head is telling me I should start an easy run... just to go there quickly and practise. That or avoid it until after 500 days. Thats the thing with Long Dark ... the longer you survive, the less you wanna take risks. Thank you for the video mate.

@@TheWtfnonamez well I mean you really could do that to practice there def is no harm in that , but yeah you can easily avoid it also and continue to take the long way until your comfortable

Hi! For some reason the entrance to coastal highway is blocked of bye rocks and snow? Is there a way around it?

Are you playing survival or story mode? If you are playing story mode you are not allowed to go to certain regions

@@longdark4ever survival but went around the blocked up entrance way and got to my destination thanks for replying tho :) Also died today by an infection so doesnt really matter.
