It is sad to see how some people you value so much reason. Parliament has been sitting in Kampala every since it was re-enstated by the NRA/M after they took over power. Todate, Ugandans are still talking about lack of medicine in the hospitals, bad schools building and others, poverty is everywhere yet the parliament in Kampala is sitting every month, every year, every decade. Now when there is a thinking that at least lets take parliament to the region which we all ways hear about them, talk to the people or see how things are in each region. There are people up in arms claimining it is a waste of time. How many times since the restoration of parliamentary system did Ugandans read about wastage of money in parliament, corruption or embesselment of money in parliament. If all these years the sitting of parliament in Kampala has failed to solve the problem in other parts of Uganda, how are they going to solve the problem now? Sometimes it is said, It is better you go and see things with your own eyes than being told. Majority of the member of parliaments comes from areas where there is compfort in all fields. Debating in Kampala parliament is good but also has some disadvantage.

The problems are already known, and they cut across the entire country. Instead think of reducing the national debt. The argument that money has already been budgeted for is shallow since a good percentage is borrowed money. Besides, whatever budget is passed, is only bulldozed through by nrm members, whether reasonable and frugal or not.
