Yep, biggest problem with spectrum is the lack of good cheap ongoing cards. Sam providing that 2 for 1 while also scaling AND possibly synergizing with regular cap? That's huge. Idk if it's enough to make spec decks top tier, but it's a big start.

Fun fact, the game does not currently have a card with a 3/6 statline. They might have just crafted Cobra to fit those specific stats, but I agree that he needs more power with that "ability"

The idea of bouncing the shield back and forth between Sam and Steve seems pretty good on paper in a Spectrum deck. A +2 every turn from 2 to the end of game, assuming the perfect curve, at no additional cost seems pretty good.

I’d almost prefer slapping Steve in the same lane as Sam to be able to buff both as you move and end the game with Sam and the Shield getting the +2 from Steve, imo

Super stacking the buffing on one lane almost begs for a Tribunal angle. And I don't think they'd be better than other options in that.

In fact, the move text for the shield is on sam wilson, so I'm guessing the sam wilson card needs to be in play and revealed for the shield to move, so you can only move the shield on turn 3 earliest

Sam and Batroc can fit well in a zoo deck that runs Marvel Boy/Kazar/Mocking Bird and Gilgamesh. Gives it more unpredictability and power shifting.

Turn 1 left lane Batroc Turn two Sam Wilson cap shield lands right lane Turn 3 captain America left lane, move shield mid batroc follows. Then move shield and batroc back and fourth from one cap to another. The three cards end of game left lane 20 power, mid 7 power, total of 27 power for six energy. I know getting all three isn't the easiest combo but it isn't insane

To be real honest, redwing is so good that i actually see destroy deadpool using it as another way to give deadpool a +2 at turn 2 and is another body for carnage at turn 3. I can see turn 1 agony, turn 2 deadpool and redwing, turn 3 deadpool and carnage. Deadpool is 10 power while carnage is 6.

Sam on T2, Hercules T3. Now T4, T5, and T6 (and T7 if you've also got Magick) you can consistently pump Sam. So that's +6 to +8, making him basically a consistent 2/10 or 2/12. If the ability also pumps Steve Cap, then Hercules's random pushes can also add extra Steve power as well for no extra move cost.

Remember moves happen at the start and sam Wilson can't move the shield until he's on the board so youd move there on 3 of at 4 on at 5 off at 6 so its just a 2/8 if you draw him early you can get higher but not without over investing

If you think about it, putting Sam Wilson and Hercules in the same lane is pretty much perfect. You can move the shield to Wilson every turn, without having to move it back and forth because Hercules does that for you...

I love the new cap cuz it's a great buff to two extra cards but honestly I kinda wish that more of the other cards had their own new archetypes. Like hot take maybe but bounce doesn't need more special 'bounce only' toys, it has a lot already, and the rest of the cards are the same. As a F2P player these should be series 3 if they're just going to be complimentary cards

That new captain seems interesting for the "move them" archetype. Turn 2 is most important in that deck. If you miss scream or kraven it's usually dead. This allows for an extra turn 2 card. Plus turn 3 you now have an option for miles /kraven. And you can keep pinging this shield back and forth for +2.

i've been playing spectrum affliction for ages now, it's really fun, you should give it a try! -spectrum/hazmat (on reveals) -wong (for on reveals) -invisible woman (hides wong/hazmat/spectrum till the end) -USAgent/man thing (affliction ongoings) -luke cage/colossus (affliction protection ongoings) -howard the duck/iron lad (great if you don't draw spectrum/hazmat, or just want more ongoings) -ant man/lizard (good cheap ongoings, lizard next to luke cage can punish rogue) (i don't have ajax yet, but plan to slot him in if/when i get him!)

I'm probably most excited for Diamondback. She'll obviously be decent in Ajax but I think she'll also synergize with Rocket and Groot in a Scream deck. Ross is interesting, other than for Surtur/Skaar, I think he could be used to thin decks if they're built with just one or two 10-power cards (ie: Hit Monkey/Sasquatch bounce).

WOW cobra is awesome!!, a 3-6 that you can only play if the opponent has only one card in a location (prob you can't play it anywhere if you draw it on turn 5-6) while red guardian is basically a 3-5 which wins many games on its own and ruins by himself cerebro decks, tribunal decks or iron man, wong, early deadpool, human torch... great! seems balanced.

Just a small note, you won't be able to move the shield on turn 2 as you need sam Wilson's effect active before you can move shield. Unless you're playing arishem Edit: thought I better add this as it's mentioned while discussing batroc also. Batroc will not be able to scale with the shield on turn 2, I think this makes both cards better balanced.
