The Living Tribunal and Magik both got buffed in the latest OTA update, and this Hela Discard deck is able to use them both in some super fun and super powerful ways.

Power Estimate: This deck can push out some absolutely crazy big power totals, but in the past suffered from a lack of consistency. Buffs to both Magik and The Living Tribunal have increased its consistency, and now the deck felt much stronger. It's far too early to tell what will be good in this new meta with big nerfs and buffs, but so far this deck feels like it could be a legitimate contender for a top meta spot.

I absolutely love that Tribunal is getting some serious airtime finally. I always thought his effect was really unique and had legs but the amount of power you needed to put onto the board previously was tough - with the Magik changes, and LT's power boost, it finally feels pretty legit

I've been playing a version of the Living Tribunal Hela deck that you posted about a month ago (using ghost rider instead of hell cow and helicarrier instead of magneto) and have climbed much farther than I ever have before. Has been working great. Although I only realised that Tribunal got buffed when someone hit him with a Shang-Chi!

Feels like if you have to choose Jubilee or Iron Lad as a lsst ditch effort to roll Modok, Jubilee is pretty much always better since positioning is so important with her. Lad can go anywhere but it's bad if she's the last slot in a lane.

You can, we do that at some point in the video. Just riskier the earlier you do it if they have IW disruption.

Prior to the buff I rode Living Tribunal from 43 to Infinite. First time hitting infinite and no one was expecting it. Soo many 8 cube wins.

FYI you can play hela before modok with invis woman, you just play modok last turn outside of invis so it triggers last turn, then end of game hela triggers

At 12:15 you could've played Hela into IW and then if you drew Modok played him off of it and it wouldve worked. Ham wouldve hit infinaut as well

I toyed with this concept since last week and landed on the same decklist except Howard. I think Howard is too weak because you have no time to play him beyond turn 2-3. And he's only a 2 power card if pulled with Hela. I prefer Giganto or Kang in its place. Giganto for more power consistency and an alternate win con with iron man + tribunal or Kang for more combo consistency ( he draws you a card 41% of the time) and cube equity, he checks tech cards pretty well. Not mentioning Kang and Giganto are highroll on Jubilee/Lad and Howard is pretty lowroll.

I guess the thing about Howard is that he's an enabling card for you when you don't quite draw what you want, right? So I ended up dropping Hela on 6 behind IW, then Iron Lad on 7 to hit the Modok on top of my deck (guaranteed because of Howard) to get the same benefit. It's not a card that's meant for power, it's meant to give you very clear options of retreat / stay in the game

I hit infinite with a similar deck. I had the lateral line with morbius, Dracula and Apocalypse. I also ran death so she would get spider hamed (pre Ota patch). I've been trying to play a deck where you play fury before the modok hela for 3 free 6 costs but I haven't pulled it off yet. With the changes to magik though...

Seems like fun. Shame Howard isn’t in any caches coming up. For the lost Mojoworld game, I feel like it might have been best to stack Sue/Modok/Hela there, since while winning that lane by more cards is unlikely, losing that lane with too few cards is really hard to overcome. Maybe the 24 they ended with can’t be topped, but 124 can never be beaten.

Yeah have tried both and they're good, the thing with Howard is that it takes the guessing away from lad and jubilee, which can be scary if you think you may hit a modok out of turn.

Hela decks seem so mindless. Specially since Modok was introduced. Just discard and play one card. It's crazy Hela hasn't been nerfed long ago. Maybe she's no that popular in the meta but that effect is busted anyway. I like the tribunal. I'm curious how he would do with a ramp up Shuri combination.

It's because Hela decks up until this point were mostly very combo/draw dependant with realistically only one win condition (Invisible Woman into Modok or multiple other discards like Hellcow+Sif/Swordmaster etc into Hela). The lack of consistency, reliance on RNG/draw and dependancy on multiple cards to win really held those decks back. With the new change to Magik though? Her reliability and consistency has shot up.

in the first game to increse the odd for Tribunal to appear i would play Jubili instead of Infinaut, bc as Hela active i would not lose so Jub will pull out 1 of the 3 remain and than Iron lad will copy 1 of the 2, but as hela rng place the piece dunno if I would win XD

I ran into someone using a deck like this and I was like WTF. It destroyed me. I had to make it. The trouble for me was just the RNG not giving me the cards I need. I don't have Howard the Duck, which I think would help. I use Crystal to get that extra chance. For me it's high risk, high reward. Had a few people just concede in conquest after one hand. It definitely is fun.

Lucky for you I explain it right there in the intro! Makes Iron Man>Onslaught>Tribunal playable on curve. Those 4 cards alone can get you 24 power in each location.
