My question is can the witness be a relative or they have to be not related to the person making the will ?

Anybody can become a witness but except the beneficiaries of the will, if one of the witnesses is a doctor (medical professional) then it is very good (if possible). Because he will help you. Was the person making the will of sound mind or not? if someone challenges the will in court.
