Hi Sara, your videos are awesome (once again) lol, I just wanted to let you know that you are an amazing person for have started this channel. I found you when I was in Anatomy, and used you as well in Physio. I am fixin to start Micro this fall and then we will PCS in the spring, which determines where I apply to Nursing school. I am a retired Marine and started college about 2 1/2 yrs ago wanting to go for x-ray tech but had an instructor who had a Masters in Nursing and complete had me fall in love with the human body. I also just decided what I want to specialize in and it's Cardio, so you can imagine when I found out you were Cardio too I was ecstatic LOL. I have gotten the recommended books for NCLEX review and the pearsons rationales as well (specifically path and pharm). I am doing everything I can to PREP myself before Nursing bc I'm kinda scared it'll be so fast pace I can't grasp it as fast. I hafta read it, write, say and repeat 3 or 4 times to really digest. For example when I run I put your Cardio playlist on and listen to that for my 3 mile run. So with that bein said is there anything you can recommend for Cardio specific, i.e. books? I'm def wearin your cardio playlist out :) Thank in advance, and God bless! ~Gayle
@RegisteredNurseRN7 жыл бұрын
Hello Gayle :) THANK YOU for the absolutely amazing comment and for taking the time to leave it. You will love cardiac. It is my favorite system of course lol. It was very neat to learn you are a retired Marine! Thank you for your service to our country :) I would definitely recommend an EKG interpretation book like ECG Interpretation Made Incredibility Easy (amazon usually has the best deal). Understanding how to read EKGs and the electrical system of the heart is really the back bone of understanding the cardiac system along with the anatomy and blood flood because heart diseases tend to affect the electrical system or the anatomy of the heart (different arteries etc.). A great book to help condense material from a nursing perspective is Cardiovascular Care Made Incredibly Easy....really most of the books from the Incredibly Easy series are great. They help simply all the material into what you need to know as a nursing student. I do hope to add more cardio videos in the future. Right now, I trying to conquer all the major topics for other systems because students are requesting them as well but I hope to make it back to the heart. THANK YOU again for watching my videos. I really appreciate it :)
