Hi, I am a translator by profession and I got a job offer to do medical transcription in Spanish.. so your video was helpful because I didn't even know what transcription was. (smile) So now I know and it definitely sounds doable!

I have a Medical Terminology 1& 2 Certificate I've tried working as a medical transcriptionist and never had training so I eventually gave up. I regret it and wish I was trained. I have Spina Bifida therefore I am wheelchair bound and have difficulty getting hired at the hospital in my area so I was working from home and that's something else I didn't like since I like to have interaction with people.

I know this video is old now, but have you done a video on the decrease on pay for the new technology they have, speech recognition? They used to pay us 9.5 to 10 cents a line, now that we only edit the report, the pay 3.5 to 4 cents a line, but they also want double or triple the work out of you. I can't find anybody talking about this. Would love a video on this. Thanks

Work going to India - don’t do this for a career. Only pays pennies if you go into it.
