Under the Food Safety Modernization Act (“FSMA”), certain food facilities registered with the U.S. FDA must write and implement Food Safety Plans. Although some facilities may have existing food safety programs (HACCP, ISO 22000, BRC, etc.), FSMA Food Safety Plans rely on different HARPC (Hazard Analysis and Risk-based Preventive Control) standards.
