We need this in Kenya.

Impressed by the fact that the central government limits it's role to identifying the needs and coming up with a framework then sharing the information with the locals who then decide what to do and when and how to do it. Reforestation and watershed management is the answer to most of the rural problems in almost all drought and famine plagued regions. Add in region specific conservation agriculture methods and life will be improved for all.

So we state that development is more emphatic and successful when the population of an emerging or developing country acts on their own initiative, is equipped with know-how, and when they believe again that they can do everything on their own responsibility without outside help. This is how the will and love for the country and the will to make progress grow.

I am thrilled with the greening of desert countries and abused tribal forests... I pray for these countries and the vast American West to learn how, then, to commence saving precious water. Without it, we are doomed.

Really impressed by what Ethiopia has been doing to fix what they caused in the first place in a very short period of time . Kinda like Haiti destroyed itself by cutting down all their trees as well. This film however is just a lets pat ourselves in the back commercial for the process. Nothing about showing how it's none . Keep up the good work .
More physical labour being done on that one trench in Ethiopia than in a entire town in a typical western country! No 8hr days on laptops in rural Ethiopia!
