Guys while finding 'r' try to take Bxy and Byx such that you get larger denominators ex: 2x + 3y=10 and 4x+5y=18 here we find correct r with byx=-5/4 and bxy=-2/3 so 4*3 (denominators) will always be greater than 5*2(numerators) hence we can get (r)

Sir in Q1 u have taken wrong value of bxy as the coefficient of y(bar) is 10 u have taken 18 in place of that so our ist assumption is correct for taking =ns as yonx and xony... And that yeilds the value of r=0.6. Thanks.

Yeah I also got confused . If one is negative and other is positive then value of r is positive or negative? If both will be positive then what is value of r ? And if both will be negative then r value is always negative plz explain I got totally confuses

@@Kpr_prince If both are positive then r is also positive because √ ++ =+ If both are negative then also r is positive because √- - = + If one is positive and other is negative then r does not exist because √+ - = √- means imaginary correlation coefficient which is not possible

when we assume the regration equation of X on Y & Y on X to find a Corelation Coficiant(r) if our assumed equation is wrong than we can get the True ( r ) just take a inversion of ( r ).... so its time saving.
