We’re bummed about the struggle bus 🤦🏾‍♀️😔. BONITA AFRO BALM is more of a styling pomade for girls who like to control of heavy stylers, but want an alternative to grease or butters, which tend to be impossible to wash out of the hair. It’s also used as a day-after re-styler, because it helps reshape yesterday’s curls without causing shrinkage. Like any pomade, a little goes a looooong way, and too much product= STUGGLE BUS. It’s not intended to be a twisting butter or setting agent (we’re working on making this more clear to the consumer in the future). MOUSSE DEF is actually the product we designed for Wash-n-go’s. I used all of the Doux's products and I love the mouse and the balm. I use the mouse for a braid out...I wear it out for up to 2 days and then I apply the balm and I have another 2 days of fly hair.

Yes, it’s a fantastic thing for customers. At the time of posting my video, the products launched that same weekend. I used the products based on the written directions on the packaging. One product worked really well and the other did not for me.

The balm is not meant for wet styles. It is used to slick hair down like in a puff. You can also use it as a refresher on a dry wash n go. You should only use about a dime size of the balm

FinallyKriss I’ve been eyeing the mousse for a minute, but really wasn’t sure if it could really define my wash and go for more than a day. About how many days does yours last with the mousse??

The first time in lasted a clean 10 days, but there was a catch. I realized tthat I had done a very mild co-wash and had some leftover gel in there! My hair was AMAZING. So I did a full shampoo was and used a leave in, a super light portion of gel and regular amount of the mousse. Exact same results and my curls pop. You can see my results on IG. Schatze Page I have type 4B and 4C hair but I'm relaxed and had the same problem. I notice if the Creator of a brand has anything less than type 4 hair on their head, their products dont have enough moisture for my hair. The only products I'd recommend from this line is the shampoo and conditioner because those are really good.

Stacy H. You definitely aren’t the first person to leave a comment saying I didn’t use the product correctly. To provide context, this review was posted the very weekend the products were released. It was the reaction to this video that caused the company to clarify. But at the time of this review the only instructions were on the container itself. On the container it states under Doux You: Apply to wet or dry hair to control frizz and sustain moisture. Twist-out, braid out, or finger style to elongate curls. I used the product according to my interpretation of the available instructions and according to how I would normally style my hair. And the product didn’t work. Kudos to the company for clarifying so that their customers can make an informed decision before they purchase.

Thanks for the review! I’m about to break into mines from my curlBOX, I was a bit confused how to use the products but the owner explains that the mouse is for setting and the Afro balm is used more to weigh down the hair and tame it. It’s isn’t a twisting cream, is more like a finisher, or smoother to weigh down the hair and that it needs to be used sparingly if needed with very little product.
