OMG! That was awesome, it's one of few Howard stories I've never read. I love the Lovecraftian style plus "The Purloined Letter" elements. Combat descriptions that hurt you while you're reading them. Nice find thank you once again.

It's always amazes me how Howard was able to do so many genres with his stories. You go from Phoenix on the Sword where is a assassination plot against Conan. To this one that's a who done it mystery. To Frost Giant daughter is Conan essential bleeding out and hallucinating.
