I plan on joining Ma'am. I just thanked GOD for me finding your videos. My wife is recovering from Critical Illness Neuropathy since late July 2021. She was able to begin shrugging her shoulders in 2022-2023. Her left side seems to move more frequently than the right. I will begin using your techniques immediately as I feel GOD led me to your videos. As for her lower extremities (legs), she's be ginning to cry more about pins & needless. She'll ask for me to move and stretch her legs. With ROM, she has turned it into a game where she locks it out and won't allow me to bend. For now, she's not able to move any body parts on her own (except the neck & shoulders). The fingers twitch periodically after ROM. Her speech is beginning to be understood a bit more as she has dysphagia with the tongue & swallowing. If there's anything more you can share, it would be greatly appreciated. *In Jesus Name, Amen.

One hour exercise routine per day (mentioned at the end of video). And one of the comments, he's doing 4 hrs. How many reps in one hour? 50 (unweighted)*60 minutes =3000, say 2000 reps, so 10k in one week can be achieved? So, one hour a day should be worthwhile. I like the pulling out the sword and the holding bowl descriptions, much easier to remember.

In addition to various stretches, I do a lot of these or similar exercises every day. Some of the exercises in the second variant, for example the first shown lying down, I do while standing in a corner, because due to hemiplegia it is easier for me to control the angle of bending my arms laterally, or behind my back. I can confirm that I am making progress, it is not visible every day, but it is on a weekly basis. It's slowly but surely going. My wrist and fingers are the weakest, but that is logical because they are the furthest from the trunk. Thanks for the details, have a great week with Instagram of course.

Hello Dr Tobias...I have 3 strokes. The first when I was 26, the second when I was 47 and the third two ago when I was 57. After the first I was hemiplegic but could still walk (with a limp)and I could talk normally. I think the third one affected the left of my brain because my right hand doesn't move normally and it goes numb very often. Plus I can't walk anymore and I can't talk well. Only my husband understands me and sometimes he doesn't. My question is: does my neck/ back hurt because I doesn't everything with the right side? ...I stand for 30 minutes every day and then I do exercise with some resistance bands for 2 to 3 hours and other exercises.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Do not give up. Start to focus on your arm again as if it's just happened. Your brain doesn't know the time..... Look at the basic exercises that you should have started off with and try from there. I'm only a month since my stroke but everything I have read says even after years change can happen. I feel your pain ....cry but don't let that overtake you. Start thinking differently...reframe it.....ok do it's been 2yrs might be a bit harder but I'm gonna start this. Be kind to your brain too it doesn't mean to not work. I hope you get some movement x

@rehabhqofficial2 жыл бұрын
Hi Gregory! Thanks for watching and for your question!. Try it with just lying on your stomach with the arm in this position (without rolling). If you can't, have a slightly lower surface next to the mat you are laying on and place your arm on the lower surface. If that doesn't work, start with the cane stretch on your back (external rotation). I hope that helps!
