The fact that even with this being a movie, in this scene, more than feeling sorry for him, I was scared of him. It all seems romantic with all the big, exaggerated gestures and grand declarations of love and passionate yelling. Imagine meeting your supposed fiance and after spending five days learning to love him, you find out he's an imposter. What part of this movie is realistic? These situations, in real life, end up with the girl traumatized and the guy serving time in jail for harassment and stalking. I do have to agree...this does manage to make you like Maddy despite his toxicity by making him charming and lovable. But by the end, I just wanted her to choose Sam or end up alone. Real love isn't as dramatic or filmy like this. Sam was a pretty responsible, mature man who perhaps wasn't as dramatic as Maddy but the amount of respect he had for her and her choices was immensely admirable. The movie is pretty good as in it builds up a charming love story but with a very toxic love interest.

This can pass as a romantic scene in reel life because it is Maddy and Maddy is love but it is very scary and disturbing thing to do in real life. It is not nice to catfish someone,obsess over them,stalk them and harass them for not reciprocating your feelings. It doesn't matter how good looking you think you are and how highly you think of yourself, if someone doesn't reciprocate your feelings, please move on.Don't harass them whether it is a man or a woman. Anyone else find it highly disturbing how all of the comments are from guys commending Maddy for his acting, but in reality this is a terrifying experience for girls? The only parts I loved about this movie were the actors and the soundtrack but the storyline is the worst thing Bollywood has produced because it romanticizes the fraud, stalking and yelling and passes it off as a "tortured lover." Unfortunately now all the guys that saw this on screen will think it's okay to do this is real life which is HELLA PROBLEMATIC!! Do better Bollywood :(

But one thing you forgot to mention that Maddy was a gentleman...although he stalked her and did things in the video above but he did cause he thought Reena loved him and is just upset for lying and impersonating Rajeev but after he was told that she doesn't love him anymore he takes a backfoot and moves out of her life and leaves for Singapore...that is something that people are forgetting that he simply cared about her feelings and would not do anything forcefully....ofc he mentioned that he could have taken her advantage given the fact that she would let him do because she loved him...but he will not do
