At what, 9 years old and one can see that this young girl has a voice. Need I say more? The rest is history and IMHO, Jackie Evancho is the premier soprano vocalist of our times. Time will tell but she may be destined to be the best ever. In my 64 years of life I have never seen or heard a more beautiful voice than Jackie Evancho. And that is just her voice. She is so delightful and charming it is beyond mere words. At 13 it is hard to imagine her vocal abilities getting much better. We'll see!!

I love these kind of videos with Jackie. It is nice to see her going through great historical moments like meeting David Foster for the first time and seeing the reaction that people have when they hear her the first time. When she grows up and becomes a huge star, we will always treasure simple moments like this.

Notice how the people in the background got very quiet. Also notice on the high note she dropped her head and closed her mouth a little so the note would ring out clear and pure. Even at nine she had complete control of her vocal apparatus. I also want to thank her mom Lisa for filming this important piece of Jackie history and leaving it on youtube for all to see and marvel at.

...and the rest is History. Today, April 26, 2015 Jackie performed Music of the Night in *Bangkok* Thailand as part of a David Foster and Friends gig. She then finished the evening by singing a *duet with Andrea Bocelli* (Con te Partiro). Bocelli was blown away by her talent. Jackie has accomplished so much in the 6 years since this video. She deserves all the accolades that come her way.

...and even more incredibly, in a few days she will return to walking the halls of her local public high school, chatting with her friends and classmates, as if nothing out of the ordinary had happened. She is supremely talented, and yet so modest and grounded. Amazing young lady!

I believe she was 8 when she applied for this competition and just turned 9 when she arrived. Notice how the many aspects of an exceptional singer comes naturally to her and she doesn't have to labor to produce any component of it. I'd love to know the details of the processes she went through since she first began at age 7. I don't think the record will ever be accurately reflected even in an autobiography. For now, purchase her stuff and enjoy what she does.
