I am so glad that you're continuing the tradition of Nusrat sahab and all great qawwals because not many singers, even exceptional ones, can sing a qawwali. I would love to hear you collaborate with Sanam Marvi. That would be a dream come true. Thank you for blessing me with such an utterly beautiful and divine naat in honor of sarkaar-e-do aalam. Dheron duaein aap ko mere bhaiyo. One thing I'd like to clarify. Sufism is misunderstood on so many levels. People confidently say they're Sufis without respecting Islam or the basic tenets of Islam. Sufism stems from Islam irrespective of what many non Muslims believe. Reading the texts of Sufi saints, we realize how in tune they were with the spirit of Islam. How much they loved Allah and His messenger SAWW. They were humanists but within the confines of Islamic monotheism. It hurts to see mistranslated verses of Rumi and Bulleh Shah and how their non Muslim fans deliberately erase their Islamic beliefs and aspirations to make them more palpable to their personal societies. That's a massive disservice to them and to the great Sufi tradition.
