I consider myself more as a beginner because of my skills. I can't do any fast scales, my fingers fly off the keys and I think that is one of the reasons to why I can't play fast notes. I also have issues with my tonguing not always being accurately on the notes. When I play the lower notes, it wants to come out an octave higher (and I also hear some kind of forced sound from my throat, either when I try to drop the octave and/or when there is a bigger interval) and when I play higher notes, it drops an octave. Why is this happening? Any suggestions on how to improve these issues?

First of all: wow, i‘m so impressed by your effortlessness! Now my question - what is this drone you’re playing to and why? I heard about singing in the flute, but the drone thing is unfamiliar to me.

Thank you! The drone is from "The Tuning CD" as a pitch constant to train my ears for intonation. (I find the drone more effective than simply looking at my tuner, as my ears will need to do the work more than my eyes in the moments it matters!) I also use a drone-like singing and playing method, versus matching pitch with my voice, because I find that it equalizes and simplifies my supported exhales and vowel shapes. (Very often, we drop support or make a change within the mouth the compromises continuity of sound and phrase, so singing one low pitch while I play a phrase is very helpful!)
