Hey, Reid! Thanks for posting this! My close friends and I have so much fun playing Singleton decks because of all the variety in games and discovery of hidden synergies. It's why I built a cube, even. Sure, a Dredger will still have their way with you, but in the end these decks are genuinely more fun than stressing to keep up with the crazy optimized decks at an LGS.

A proper configuration of Snapcaster and Jace is good enough to be the only blue cards in the main board. I thought those were the strongest blue cards in the deck. Great video. I’ve gotten so much better at the game reading and watching your content!

@iansinclair20286 жыл бұрын
Reid you did amazing work with Sultai. I loved watching the video. If I may share some feedback, the highlander deck looks like a hybrid between control and midrange in its current incarnation. I would try to move the deck to either midrange or full control to figure out the creature base in particular, since Vendillion Clique and JVP are very control oriented cards. If you decide to go midrange i would suggest putting the counterspells in the sideboard since it does blindside some oppenents game 2 to see countermagic from a previously 0 countermagic deck and counter magic is very matchup oriented.

@zackestin13686 жыл бұрын
Why are you pretending this is an actual deck and not Reid literally testing cards to see how they match up against recent modern decks?
@zoeyzolRS6 жыл бұрын
@@zackestin1368 I play a deck nothing like this, its way sillier actually, i have ishkana, etc. But highlander fnm has always been around for those seeking a thrill, and how you build amd play your deck matters. For example rule #1 is dont be a worse version of an existing deck, thats why a lot of peple go sultai, cuz there arent really sultai decks in modern

I still don't understand why you wouldn't turn one Thoughtseize in Round 3. If they thoughtseize/inquisition you back you just lost a valuable tool to know their hand and remove a threat.
@toast_recon6 жыл бұрын
Because getting tar pit out of the way is massively relevant, and rarely seize on 2 can be better than on 1 because you see 1 more card. It's a bad choice if opponent has aether vial or Inquisition/seize or is stuck on lands with a serum visions, but can be good otherwise.

Christmas stuff is up already? It's not even Halloween yet.
I know you want to do singleton for testing but rain of tears instead of fulminator is basically just strictly worse, might as well have played a different card or a second fulminator if you really wanted an extra stone rain
