Spiff is a transient shaper, SplitEQ is an EQ. They both focus on transients, but do different things. EQ is for color & tone. Transient Shapers are for dynamics and impact.

are you also reducing the gain from the boosts spiff is introducing? Im curious where on the mix bus chain this is, and if you have a clipper or something to keep it at the same gain level when all is said and done

This plugin is being used on mix groups…. Not the master bus. However you can put spiff on the Master 🔑

They’re similar but Not quite the same. SplitEQ is an EQ and Spiff is a transient shaper plugin. You’ll hear the difference when you do large adjustments, transient shapers effect dynamics, and EQ effects color/tone
