I got "Rot in hell for eternity" on my first playthrough. I assumed that the devil could not kill the Spirit of the Fallen. EDIT: After watching this, I got REALLY GOOD RNG on multiple occasions, and managed to get the good ending. (I also got my best score, 125 years.)

I also learned games cannot go on forever. Saying no for 100 years starting 1998 is neutral ending. If you don't say yes to the skeleton or spirit, (aka don't kill them after 1998) thats also the neutral ending.

+MrLisreal no, you no longer have death wish after tricking the devil. Besides, Rex is simply a means for the Devil to communicate with the King. Why would killing Rex kill the Devil?

He will only appear if you have already given him the strawberry plant (AKA "The One"). If you have, get one of your stats (Religion, Population, Military, or Treasury) very low, and he might offer to help you. Say yes, and the Devil will try and fail to kill him.

Make sure you have the torch AND you don't make any mistakes. One mistake and you'll have to come into the dungeon another time. (I think)
