Reiht euch ein [German march]

The march "Reiht euch ein" (line up) also called line up in the Freikorps Epp or line up in the Bavarian Rifle Brigade, is a march composed by Fritz Waldmann, around 1919/ 20. The Bavarian Rifle Brigade was transferred from 1922 to Rifle Brigade 21 of the Reichswehr.

One of my friends listens to pieces like this, but only if I send him and he prefers modern music. Another one loves history just like me, but it seems that for him it's just a source of memes and from Imperial German music he knows just the most famous pieces like Preussens Gloria. Memes are not bad, but for me history is something more At least on You Tube I can find people like me I bet you have the same

@@BartlomiejDmowski pretty much the same here. no friends to share my interests. nowadays germany is always portrayed as the bad guys in movies, games, memes, you name it. no wonder we find fewer people like us. i'm a history enthusiast as well, and i found out that some histories that we learned in schools is not always accurate, some people choose to bend the stories for their own gain. when i look at Germany, i'm proud and sad at the same time. pardon my bad english. not my first language

@@truthprevail2256 your English is fine :) It's not my first language as well, I'm Polish. Where are you from? I do agree with that part about Germany. I have to confess that when I was younger I perceived Germans and Russians as my enemies. Now I'm ashamed of that. But Polish education system is generally very manipulated. Luckily, my peers don't hate Germany. I would have to argue with them on every history lessons, because now we have the topic of German unification. I was few times in Germany - but never stayed there for longer time. For Poles this country is a gate to Western and partially Southern Europe. I like how now Germany is a well-developed, modern nation. Germans seem to be strong and influential nation again. But they lack this pride of being German. Their old glory. I don't mean that they should consider themselves to be the best people in the world and treat others like rubbish. But when I see their old flags, when I hear theur old songs and marches, when I see their old architecture I'm truly sad that in one point this story simply ended and ceased to continue. I want Germans to be happy from being Germans to happily shout "Fur der Kaiser und Vaterland!". I think they lack this imperial pride

@@BartlomiejDmowski thanks. i'm from indonesia, so english is my third language. i think we all percieved German and Russian as the bad guys when we were younger. it's been a template on our educational system. on almost the whole world if i may say. if thats sad, now imagine how education in germany looks like. where having a slighest pride for their own country is basically frowned upon beating yourself over your ancestors mistakes (if theres any) is not good. and i don't see any other country do this to their people. nor england, nor the yankees. so why must the germans? i agree with you, but i don't think the story is just simply ended and ceased to continue. they're being kept on a leash, and on my POV, Germany is still under occupation, tho in a more subtle way.

Hi Ludwig, Thank you very much for your reply :)!!! Do you think that the Eisen Front could have done more to oppose National Socialism? For example contacting German groups abroad for their support and appealing to foreign powers for aid? I found that during the battles between the Reichsbanner and the Steel Helms and brown shirts, the Eisen Front elected to act defensively even when the brown shirts were murdering supporters of democracy in the streets with illegally acquired firearms and such. I believe and this my personal point of view that the Eisen Front should have been more proactive and took any measures necessary to combat the National Socialists. Perhaps it’s because I have the benefit of hindsight that I say this but at some point you have to put words to the side and take action to defend your principles in the streets.

I think foreign powers liked the chaos or even civil war in Germany, as it weakens it. Only the Germans themselves could've fixed the situation.
