I don't think that they'd fit as well with the modern calendar system of the newer games. Character themes are a better match for traditional RPGs with a constantly flowing narrative.

@@Jordan3DS Of course it would be a bit trickier to fit them in, but imo character themes could still work with certain story events that reflect a certain character. Social/Confidant Links could also fit them in. Basically, I agree it would be tricky, but it wouldn't be impossible.

P4AU has unique character themes for each playable character. Not mainline but still great

True especially since newer persona games are longer and characters have so much more screentime (Meanwhile you miss like half the main cast on one playthrough no matter what in P1 and they still all have themes)

i think the closest we have to character themes is dungeon themes in p4 which kinda reflect the characters shadow selves or in yukiko and kanjis case, their shadow vs them (how the themes switch up between two songs). p5 palace themes also say a lot abt the characters i think, like kamoshidas palace theme is quite sleazy sounding, madarames sounds elegant but theres an uneasiness abt it etc

Agreed, Meguro should have at least replaced all of the songs that he cut with new ones, rather than cutting most of the OST and then replaying the same songs over and over. It would have been cool to see him make new character themes for all of the party members.

Same, I've read through the wiki entries for 1-5, and also have been through the soundtracks of 2-5. I'm working my way through one now. I'm glad Joker was added to smash, because I probably would have never heard of persona otherwise. Honestly one of my favorite things about Smash is that it encourages you to check out other Franchises. I can't play persona because I don't have any PS systems, but I can still listen to the OST and stuff, so that's great.

@@1SecondToLight Persona 1 guys are probably in their 40's tho. I mean they were at their 20's in Persona 2. Persona 3 is 5 years after, Persona 4 is 3 years after 3 and Persona 5 is at least 5 years after 4. That is a total of 13 years after the last time we saw them. They are on late 30's or 40's then :/

basically Revelations: Persona is the American localisation of Megami Ibunroku Persona (or just Persona 1). the localisation changed all the names and removed basically all references to Japan, so "Reiji" was changed to "Chris"
