Guys, I think most of you misunderstood when I told about Yuna and Tidus. There's a reason I never used the word "broke" and just used "not together anymore". What's really explicit is the fact they aren't all the time together anymore, which is a fact that those who finished FFX-2 Last Mission would remember (when Rikku is complaining about Yuna in Yadonoki Tower). Actually, the only line I remember from this bonus audio that could lead people to really think they actually "broke", is when Yuna tells Tidus she will stop seeing him from now on. But the way she says that makes me believe it's just a lie (even if something bad between them actually happened). They NOT being together anymore doesn't necessarily means they really broke for good. As many of you said, there's a big reason (or many reasons) behind all this, I'm sure it wouldn't be something that simple at all. I also mentioned in the description that I'm sure it's a lie when she told Tidus about another love, there should be a good reason to tell him that (and hiding it from him), specially after everything she went in FFX/X-2. Also, I'm sure Tidus injuries isn't something as simple as he being a Blitzball player only. If you ask me, I still think it's related to Sin. What's a bit confusing about this drama is that the events takes a place in several places, and they move really fast. At one point they're in Bevelle, then Kilika, then Besaid, Bevelle again, an unknown city, Besaid again, etc... Since I just got back from work, I will analyze the whole thing again and edit if I find any mistakes.

***** Yeah I've just finished listening to the whole audio and this time I tried to pay as much attention as possible. While my translations were correct as a whole (except for one or two minor details maybe), on that day I missed the Moonflow part and the Yevonists part, and thanks for including them. However the reason Kurugum goes separate ways with Chuami is (according to him at least) because he likes Yuna (who could be interpreted in a love way since both of them are related to Summoning, but it could also mean something completely different actually since Chuami is his childhood friend and he might just want to use this as an excuse, for example). It's also important to mention that this part comes immediately after they show Tidus and Yuna's convo, which means they are at least TRYING to induce people to believe they could be a new couple (even if this sounds pretty absurd - but hey, this whole audio drama seems to be a "teaser" for FFX-3 after all). For now, we should just wait. The general idea is already here, the rest are just stuffs left to interpretation, and only when FFX-3 comes out, we will find if we're right or not.

Another thing about this drama based on the video description (thus it could be entirely wrong), but it does not sound like Yuna and Tidus broke up. More like Yuna thinks Tidus is seeing someone else, is jealous and so is pretending she loves someone else to get him jealous of her. This is supported by how Tidus asking Lulu who it is and Lulu being disappointed, as she thought Tidus of all people would realize that Yuna is just trying to make him jealous. Also of course Tidus is injured, he's an athlete, they get injured all the time.

Ok guys, sorry for being a bit late (since I was realy busy before), but I finally finished listening to the whole audio again. And to answer those who were asking, it seems that my general translation is correct (not considering the parts left to interpretations), it was only lacking the Moonflow and the explanation of the Yevonists part, which some people here kindly added in the comments. Unfortunately, the description area doesn't have enough space to explain everything, so if no one else does it before me, I'll make another video (or use annotations) with english subs so the whole thing hopefully gets easier to understand. I just won't promise when. For now, please just check my comments below as I won't keep repeating myself about the metaphoric part and about Tidus and Yuna's supposed "brake up".

Basic concept : Confirmed, Protagonist :Confirmed, Basic story and Conflict : Confirmed, Final Fantasy X-3 : Confirmed!!.. I already imagining we will play either Kurgum or Chuami as the protagonist, with some love story, and conlfict to defeat sin once more and defeat whoever brought it to life. I'm really sure Yuna doesnt really "dumped" Tidus, she just do that because she want to defeat Sin, and she thought she will die along with it (Final Aeon and that kind of thing). So she doesnt want Tidus to sad over her. Its typical Japanese romantic drama things. Either way, I hope Final Fantasy X-3 comes soon :D

Square has mentioned that they would make more FFX stuff (like FFX-3 I guess) if the demand is there. Personally I'm against it. The story ended, Tidus came back, let it die. Adding does not make it better, especially adding to an already finished story, it has a higher chance of ruining the whole thing than making it better. If you ask me though, if they make a sequel based on demand they will, because this is gonna be one of those reasons when the audience do not know what they want: they want more, so they say they want a sequel. But they really don't because they're expecting another FFX or (if they like it, personally I'm okay with it) X-2, but it probably won't, the company has changed significantly, it is very likely to feel very different (for better or worst, who knows?) and like I said: expanding on an already completed story has a higher chance of crashing and burning. FFX had a post credit scene that hinted to a sequel, X-2 delivered that and the 100% completion ending was the perfect way to close it. A FFX-3 to me feels like it has a high potential to, for lack of a better phrase, "go Jar-Jar Binks on itself".

And I wish I didn't, it was absolutely awful storywise, designwise, everythingwise except the combat system. Now, after FFXIII (I played through it ONCE and never dared to touch it ever again, it's the anti-FF to me), FFXIII-2 (didn't buy, but I hear that a lot of people were pissed for its lackluster storyline, poor ending, weak characters and so on) and the upcoming XIII-3 (don't care, won't buy) they feel the need to make a X-3?! Who said I hate FF? I don't like X-2, XIII and what Square Enix has done and is doing with the franchise in the last years, but I actually own every episode from 1 to 13 except 11, plus Tactics, Tactics advance, Dirge of Cerberus, the movie that got released in teathers and Advent Children Director's Cut. When I was a kid I played almost exclusively FF games: I completed 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 multiple times collecting all ultimate weapons, defeating every extra boss, collecting all summons and so on. I actually learned english playing FF6, 7 and Tactics with a dictionary on my lap. I wrote a FF7 walkthrough in italian. My closet is full of artworks I printed out, posters and my own drawings of Squall, Cloud, Zidan and Tidus. I LOVE FF. That's why I'm watching this video and why I'm so pissed at SE for what they're doing to the series... milking it dry with sequels and spin-offs that NO ONE ASKED (did you want a FF X-3 before this video drama and the subsequent announcement of a possible realization?) made just to cash in with their idiotic plots, combat systems or worse, DLCs for the endings. THE ENDINGS. I grew up along with this series and I'd like to see it shine again like in the old days. Back in the day I lived the release of every new chapter as an event, but I don't trust Square Enix anymore.This doesn't mean I'm not looking forward to FFXV (hoping it will be awesome and memorable) I just don't see the point of a FFX-3 that is very likely going in the same direction of XIII-2/XIII-3: love for money and not for the fans.

I'm getting the feeling that they're will be some sort of sequel to X-2. Like you said ReikiKirei, it could be a video game or movie. The fact that a novel sequel Final Fantasy X-2.5 was released in Japan yesterday, along with this audio drama, further, further gives us hints that a X-3 will be made. Look at Final Fantasy XIII. When the international version was released on the Xbox 360 in 2010, a novel called "Episode I" details what Lightning and the others were doing after XIII. Then we got XIII-2. I would gladly pray for a X-3 of some sort. And I will definately purchase it.

I'm extremely sceptical about a sequel, but it has piqued my interest nonetheless. I really can't see any way to progress the story further, so I am very interested to see how it turns out (if they're actually making a sequel). FFX-2 could have been worse, but it could also have been a lot better. And for people who don't understand why some complain over yet another sequel to this awesome game, it's probably because they fear that it will change or even ruin their original conception of FFX. SPOILER WARNING! For example, the "good" ending to FFX-2 changed my thoughts on FFX's ending entirely. I liked how the original was open for fans to interpret. While I didn't necessarily dislike the FFX-2 ending, it surely made me think differently of the original one in FFX. Sequels are good if they can make one think even better of the 1st in the series. Let's hope that's the case with FFX-3, though I highly doubt it. On the other hand Advent Children actually succeded to make me think even more highly of FFVII, so there is still a chance FFX-3 will have the same effect.

im pretty sure yuna and tidus just had one of those typical lovers quarrel and told him she likes someone else out of spite. it would be silly to end a relationship over something so small. I mean why else would tidus ask lulu who yuna's new love interest is and why she tells him he should understand how yuna feels more? if they broke up, then yuna's journey in x-2 would have been for nothing (and a waste of the fayths effort of bringing him back to yuna) D: also note that when tidus was talking to chuami towards the end of the audio drama he tells her that he and yuna made a promise to always be together (the promise they made after the suteki da ne scene)

Okay, the "break up" is being taken so out of context it's not funny. I nearly had a heart attack when I saw this on wiki. I don't claim that my Japanese is perfect, but the way I understand it is that there is trouble brewing in Moonflow (the pyreflies are acting weird and Moonflow is essentially turning into another Farplane - a worse version of it, too, because the dead is no longer just a reflection but could actually speak and became "real" - to the point that Sin is being called back because someone summoned it). It appears to me that Yuna doesn't want to get Tidus involved (presumably because he's injured, though maybe for some other reason), so she played the jealous lover (saying that Tidus is seeing another girl) and then claimed that she likes another person that Tidus doesn't know. When you think about it, it makes sense - one reason that Yuna agreed to "check out" the problem in Moonflow "at Baralai's request" (when she said that she's not going to be involved in politics) is because she heard that Tidus is injured and wanted to see him. When Yuna first saw Sin came back, her first thought was "I need to see Tidus." (Come on, having a spat with your lover is not going to be first on your list when you see Sin.) Also, Lulu is "disappointed" (as some people have been using that word), because she thought Tidus would understand Yuna better, and she asked Tidus to think about why Yuna is acting this way in these circumstances. Yuna acknowledged that she is Tidus' lover at the beginning and the fact that Tidus is blitzing elsewhere while Yuna is in Besaid doesn't mean that they're not together! Maybe Tidus is travelling to blitz? Or there is always long distance! Personally though, I can see why Yuna is concerned. There are similarities between the way that the dead (and Sin) is made "real" in this case and how Tidus is given a new life. Just as Tidus came back because Yuna wished for it, Sin came back because, as Yuna mentioned, someone wished it to happen (which is how you summon people on the Farplane if I understand correctly).

If you notice at the end of the video there seems to be only pictures of yuna and tidus and then the last photo itself is of their new looks for a possible 3rd installment of the game. The novel that just came out yesterday is rumored to be the reason why yuna and tidus are distant in this drama video. However i believe that they are not broken up at all just distant due to tidus's injuries (probably disappearing again) due to sin coming back. From reading numerous translations of this video i believe maybe he's disappearing again and he doesn't want yuna hurt. He stays distant due to so and she goes an becomes a yevonist to pray for his conditions. Over all something pretty dramatic must have happened in the novel for them to split for a while. But until my novel comes in the mail in january i can't really say so. Over all though yuna is probably just trying to protect tidus by creating a diversion (such as her new lover) to keep him away from the real problem (sin). Because the last time he was involved he faded with sin. Im thinking a ffx-3 is already in the makings.

Yuna's jealousy made up a misunderstanding which turned into a drama. Lulu was disappointed with Tidus when he asked who was Yuna implying and said that he still doesn't understand her after all these times together. Probably a conflict and drama in the story line in X-3 along with the return of Sin and other fantasy stuff ( If FFX-3 is coming of course! ). If they would break off, then there would be no purpose of Tidus coming back when the Fayth asked Yuna to bring Him back.

Obviously a complete assumption, but hopefully they haven't just made Tidus and Yuna frequently-appearing side/half-protagonist characters. Rather, I'm assuming that this side of the story (ie. Just this audio) is told from the two new characters' points of view, and you'll follow the game in Tidus' footsteps, and just happen to meet them in the places explained that they met. (ie, you're solo running through Bevelle as Tidus to escape a monster, or something, and meet Chihuahua). After all, it is said that Tidus and Yuna would be getting an adventure, again. Also, hopefully they don't pull a constant MC-switch thing, where you play a scenario as Tidus, then as Yuna, then as Tidus, etc. But hey, it's Square. They've trolled people before. From what I can understand about the drama-view of Tidus and Yuna, I assume it's just Yuna misunderstanding Tidus after seeing him interact with fans, or Chihuahua.

I really like FF 10, I really do, but I wish that FF6, FF8, FF9 and even FF 5 would get some more love. If they make FF 10-3, day one buy. But.... still... I'm iffy about this change in Tidus and Yuna's relationship. On the one hand, I dread it. I hope they'll be together in the end...It would really destroy the feeling of the original game if they didn't. On the other hand, I welcome it. Writers have really gotten lazy when it comes to romance seeming to think the only drama comes at the start of the relationship with nothing but happily ever afters when they finally do get together.

They get sent "back in time" to where Spira's "gods" resided as normal people. This was close to the war and one side created blitz ball bombs. Tidus kicks said bomb, explodes, head falls next to Yuna, Yuna faints. She is then greeted by one of the "gods" who helps "beckon" (I think) Tidus back in return for Yuna killing someone. Tidus has altered memories and if he learns what happened he disappears. Tidus later meets a "God" and gains the power to travel between that place and current Spira. His return as a dead-but-not-dead-in-the-sense-of-Spira causes the far plane to go haywire releasing pyroflies of souls in which can talk to people. Stuff happens with the "gods", one which was actually an unsent in present Spira but didn't know about. Once Yuna and Tidus do blahblah, this "God" realises he's dead and disappears. This convinces Yuna that the same fate holds to Tidus and starts acting colder to Tidus. They both go to Zanarkand to watch the sunset like they promised which leads in

SquareEnix seem keen on ruining franchises these days. I wish they would stop retconning everything just to make links between games also. It's never a case of "don't like it, don't buy it", if SquareEnix are allowed to continue with these actions, then the quality of future titles will suffer. If sequels get them more money for less cost & effort, then future Final Fantasy titles will have that in place & we'll never get a complete Final Fantasy experience.

Well, i dont know japanese, but from your translation, i think yuna broke up tidus because she want to deal with sin alone. I dont think SE will break this famous couple, they have been together for 10 years. But please, SE, please dont ruin my favorite game into a stupid storyline like the FF XIII-2, i dont want another poor ending for Yuna or Tidus like Serah's death.

FFX was a masterpiece best game of all time. FFX-2 was dumb as hell and I really hope they don't do further damage by making an FFX-3 based on this crap. If anything give us a prequel about Braskas journey so it could be more like FFXs story (actually good and not crap like FFX-2)

if they are going to make a FFX3 : 1) bring Auron back that's a must i don't care if you people want him dead , he was the only reason why i played this game. 2) stop making those sad stories and girlish style, enough we had with FFX and X2 if they continue with the same thing , it will be boring. it's ok to write sad stories , but don't use it too much. 3) make the world with more advanced technology like zanarkand (or the cities like ff6 or ff7) and not too primitive, Zanarkand was the only city with some advanced tech and on top of all it was just a dream like really? too much yevon's worship and temples man. stop that and balance the game . 4) the end must be something like FF6 where nobody died or disappeared . (that FFX final boss sucked so bad) 5) if they continue with this broken relationship , it won't end up well. they must change it. 6)and seriously if yuna becomes evil , it will suck so bad. she doesn't look too evil to be like that. she would be like those lousy villians from bad games,movies or tv series. (FFX2 Leblanc too much?) it is ok to have a sequel but if you turn characters into things they cannot be , it will suck

普通にシンを倒すため。あとはXの時と同じ(?)みたいにティーダを巻き込みたくないから。クルブルも同じ理由かと。だから召喚士にしか分からないってことかなぁと個人的には考えてます。そしてこれは私が考えたので合ってるか全くわかりませんがシンを呼び寄せしたのはもしかしたらユウナな気がします。
