Wow this video really struck me. I'm from southern Germany and once a year we do exactly the same stuff there- the tree looks the same , just the wooden platform is a wrath, music comes walking to the tree, one guy climbs it, several others attempt to and usually fail, people dance around the tree, it looked so familiar! Just the meaning of it has been long long lost in Germany i guess but probably believes were.not that different a long time ago! Your videos are so precious.
