to be honest? Ainz isnt really a "Broken" character. His kit is well not really balanced but is very reasonable for an rp character in an mmo. He just so happens to be put in a universe where everyone else is just weaker Reinhard on the other hand, he's the streteotypical endgame hero from any rpg. He's the max level dragon born of skyrim. The max level hero of kvatch of Oblivion. The godlike Nerevarine endgame of Morrowind. A combination of all 3 and so forth. Just broken in its entirety

@@PriSenpai Well he is literally the strongest in Re Zero. Though his blessing works by giving him any blessings he wants, and it's stated by the author that authorities>blessings. So not exactly, he had a lot of trouble with a character in Arc 5 cause of his authority, which was also pretty broken, and the fact that he couldn't draw Reid, which can only be drawn against a worthy opponent. If he could have drawn Reid he would have won, since just a swing of that can reshape the world or some op stuff like that, don't doubt he also gains some additional abilities with it, but we haven't seen him do much with Reid yet besides oneshotting people.

@@stanet1013 I haven't read arc 4 after chapter 74 but it's been stated that Reinhard one shotted puck with his blade and killed him instantly.so it proves that he is definitely the most broken character.but rezero world gives you the glimpse of hard work and not getting win easily all the time.so it's good that reinhard is also winning the battles with some difficulties or he would be same as saitama.boring as fuck.i don't like saitama that much as a character but I love opm because of others characters and story. Although mob from Monday psycho has more better character development throughout the series.

@@princevegito2143 The power balance of top tier re zero characters is literally rock, paper scissors, one character beats one due to their ability while losing to another who the one they beat would beat. Re Zero power isn't based around who can blow up the most, but the abilities of the characters. Reinhard though is basically mr can't lose, he can't beat certain ppl like the character i mentioned cause that persons ability is so broken, and he can't draw Reid, but said person can't beat Reinhard cause of his broken abilities like resurrection. Reinhard is a fairly interesting character though, he isn't just a 1 dimensional character, he is fairly developed.

It's more like a reminder to save before every encounter in a game. check stuff out and possibly die then figure out what to do from there. subaru isn't strong at all in a world with strong people. he has to rely on others constantly to prevent the worst possible scenario.

+Sebastian De La Rosa Episode 15 was when Subaru realized how slothful he was. As a result, knowing he is too weak, he turns to the other contenders of the throne for help. They, not willing to offer any aid, prove that Subaru cannot rely on others in the situation he was in. So instead, he decides that he must take matters into his own hands and run away with Rem. However, as we know, Rem convinces him to stay. Now he has to take matters into his own hands in a DIFFERENT way. He convinces Crusch to help him by using logic rather than emotion, which isn’t the same thing as relying on someone. Things start to play out differently because Subaru MAKES them happen differently. Not through resets, but through diligence. Yes, he obtained knowledge from his past resets before he realized this, and used that knowledge to get through the whale arc, but that’s not the point. The point is that Subaru is more reliant on himself than ever before. Side note: Subaru tries to avoid death at all costs, even after someone he cares about dies. This isn’t because he’s selfish. It’s because it’s been his philosophy ever since he jumped off that cliff. That’s why he’s so broken inside every time he sees a loved one die. He assumes that, every time, they’re gone for good, even though he could technically just kill himself.

Compare Ainz and Reinhard quickly -Ainz can stop time and kill someone. -Reinhard can infinitely resurrect whenever he dies. -Ainz uses high level magic. -Reinhard steals all magic from the environment, making magic users unable to do anything. So, Ainz cannot stop time with magic anyway. -Ainz can use weapons like sword and bow that are strong. -Reinhard can deflect anything thrown at him and if he throws something, it hits 100% of the time. He is also the sword saint, so he can beat anyone at swords anyway. -Ainz can use 'World Items' that may change the rules of the world -Reinhard can probably wish for a Divine Protection that makes him immune to World Items. Or, if he cannot beat world items, his sword would probably see Ainz 'worthy' and one shot him.

What a lot of people get wrong a lot of the time is that there isn’t a Devine protection for everything so Reinhard can’t just wish for ANY, power or whatever. He can only wish for a Devine protection that actually exist, so you can’t really say “Oh, Reinhard can just wish for a Devine protection to counter this” or whatever. This is not true, yes it’s possible but since Devine Protections aren’t infinite, we can’t assume he has any power ever, we can only go off of what we know he has now but we do know that he’s very overpowered even with what we know he has.

It was stated Reinhard can get Blessings that already exist and that don't, it was stated in Arc 5, it was stated by the Author on his interview which you can find translated on Reddit and he also says it on Twitter when he made a Q%A about Reinhard on Reinhard's birthday. New Blessings get created all the time and not for just Reinhard, let's say tomorrow a baby is born and it was Blessed by the World, his Blessing can be one that never existed before and he is the first one with that. And it never says that blessings are infinite either so we don’t know if ANY Devine blessing could be made. The problem with abilities like these are that we don’t know the limits of wishing or creating new abilities we never seen before so you can’t bring up the argument that he can bring out whatever ability he wants or needs. If I'm not mistaken in the Wrath If or maybe Pride If, Subaru reset thousands of times trying to kill Reinhard, he used every strategy, every weapon, and every hirable person to kill him just to end up at the conclusion that he is truly unbeatable. Moments later a mentally unstable Emilia killed him at least once with some unconscious ice protection spike that attacks nearby threats, Reinhard's blessings didn't activate since Emilia didn't hold any hatred or try to harm him. He probably revived himself with the phoenix blessing after that but the story doesn't tell us. Also, Subaru tells Reinhard that even tho he can't kill him he can kill the "Hero" Reinhard by destroying everything and everyone he protects. The If routes are bizarre and Nagatsuki rarely explains how stuff works there and they are not canon.

In the light novel, Kazuma's Drain Touch has been shown to instantly incapacitate Royal Guards and other extremely powerful magic users. Now you might say, "Reinhard has divine protection." However, Kazuma's drain touch has been shown to work on Aqua, a literal Goddess, so Kazuma could probably bypass the divine protection. Also, it would be hilarious to see Kazuma take down Reinhard.

I don't know, as an Overlord fan and a Re: Zero fans I think Overlord is still the most powerful given that world items haven't even been mentioned, those items are literally the power of the world condensed into a single point. But regarding which series is more op Overlord or Re: Zero, I would still throw my money at Overlord considering world items haven't even been touched upon (there literally the definition of op, one item can theoretically rewrite the game's rule, so Ainz could technically rewrite how any ability works) However, in all honesty, can't compare, the rules for each series are so different that they share no common ground, therefore, we cannot be sure which abilities take precedent. For all, e know Ainz's abilities could overwrite a divine protection if its a high enough spell, or not. And it especially gets murky when we talk about whether Ainz's truly op abilities and Reinhard's truly op abilities clash. *Edit* I should also add that, if one where to try to make any meaningful conclusions then they would have to favor one stories rules over the other, thus it's not fair for the other. Thus, for me the fight is pointless. However, I found the episode to be very funny, Tanya torturing Kazuma was amazing, and overall it was great.

@Hunter Smith Also, uhm, Reinhard has a wish ability, too. It's his divine gift that allows him to wish for more Blessings or Divine Protection. That should be enough to repel wish upon a star, though probably not a world item like Depiction of Nature and Society

No Surprise. Aniz wins because of his Army of help. Aniz has never been described as the strongest player in his game in fact Aniz is not that close to the top. Aniz is the best Guild Master in that world and Aniz plus his forces is his true strength. Reinhard is the top player type of person in his world. I love Reihard as he is the very old "knight in shining Armor" type who at one time earlier than 1970's for the most part as far as I can was the most common but then has fallen out of favor. I loved the "Evil does not understand Good" moment in RE:zero" When Reihard says his main weapon cannot be drawn because your not a threat he was ignored I'm certain because he was assumed to be bluffing but Good does not do that and he was telling the truth and thus evil should have ran instantly.
