In mountaineering terms Reinhold Messner has no equal, no peers, and no competition. I would love to hear his thoughts on Alex Honnold and his ability and accomplishments.

Too bad the host cut this short. Have a feeling that Reinhold would have been pleased to answer questions for hours and I would have enjoyed listening to him. Alas the "tourist" comments he made were no doubt nit music to the ears of many "modern day" cliners and that's where the sponsoring club gets most of their money...
@calmarcalmar11 жыл бұрын
He told everything about that. He was searching for a way down - his brother (weaker there) was waiting. When Reinhold came back the snow already brought the death to his brother - avalanche. That's his version - I would not know why I should question that.

right not directy he is from South Tyrol former Province in Austria now part of Northern Italy.But way back about 1200 years South Tyrol and Austria and Northern Italy with Rome included were part of the Roman German Empire.So he is a native german speaking citizen.

ask messner why he walked away from his own brother and let him die,is this a germanic thing !!
@no1fibersplicer5255 жыл бұрын
sierra hiker pure class with your question. He was beat up for years over this, then they found his brother and his location backed up Rheinholds story. But there are those of you that still refuse to let go. Of all the great questions you could ask, THAT is what you chose? Speaks volumes
