Brilliant horsemanship, nice to see on you-tube. Gorgeous horse, his feet painted black to show off their correctness, which would be hidden by a natural hoof polish colour. wow.. AND, a tented saddle-pad always makes me happy:) Makes the horse happy, you see. Thanks for posting!

Thank you for this video! I have been obsessing over reining after watching it live from the APHA world show this year, I want to train my filly for it but I never showed it so I didnt know what the judges look for.

Practice by running your horse into the fence. He/she will only run into it once
@therealprofiz6 жыл бұрын
@ you need sliding plates. running them into the fence will just get both of you hurt
@sandmtnirishred5 жыл бұрын
Lol. Let it rain some, enough to get mud slick but not thick. Trot ahead of the horse and TURN AROUND QUICK. It stops , and slides and they usually love the game. It's how I taught Mischief. Hopefully, I'll be bringing her out in a couple more years. Likely when she's 10; she'll have dropped and weaned my foal. You know, I've never understood why a horse that neck reins would need a bit.

I can't tell...you think part of it is artificial? it flows natural down the sides, but down the middle, it stays pretty well down, doesn't flow at all like it normally should...least to me.

yes, they have hoof black on his hooves, why, I don't know, because with his color, you'd think they'd put a natural color on his hooves, instead of black.

you wouldn't say that when you know how much afforts goes into the moves shown with reining... it looks easy, but it sure isn't
@maegsreiners12 жыл бұрын
You might actually want to get educated before you speak. These horses are trained and conditioned to spin. It is easy for them. They are built to carry their heads low. Again EASY for them. I really wish people didn't have to be rude on youtube. If you were talking to this talented horseman face to face I know you wouldn't talk like that.

Is it my imagination, or are reining horses much smaller than your average quarter horse?. The riders look way too big for them. A beautiful horse though. 😉
