Nasty Nils hat recht! Die KTM ist ruppiger, zappelt etwas im sechsten Gang, macht mir aber als ehemaliger GS - Fahrer (R1200GS LC Modell 2015) die ich wegen Problemen mit der Dekompressionsmechanik an den Händler zurückgegeben habe, bereits nach 1000 km deutlich mehr Spaß. KTM hat mit der 1190er einen weiteren Fan von BMW abgeworben. Und dann noch der geile Sound, Wahnsinn!

Was kann man zum pendeln bei höheren Geschwindkeiten sagen? 160 km/h oder doch 200 ? Oder gibt es zu dem Thema Abhilfe? Neue Reifen ?

My2,this KTM LC8 motor & its exhaust note on this 1190,sounds just fantastic.Surprisingly!,it's in noway harsh,like the others,that had the unmistakable dirt-bike characteristic of a certain beat note that by me,is very annoying,but her's & as well Triumph Tiger Explorer's,somewhat stood abuv the rest of the bunch 1200s.Since KTM's powerplant & off-road,even on-asphalt qualities are now renowned & stood abuv the rest with much rave reviews.The company must now apportion aesthetic refinements to this fantastic 1190,as what all 4 renowned Japanese marques of especially CrossTourer,V-Strom, Versys 1k,the other,the British Tiger Explorer & the for so long-king of the hill-the renowned GS,all appropriately did with what their respective product of this category deserved.For as it now stands,especially the 1190 "R" had the poorest in terms of aesthetics,as she looked like,but only a "Beefed-up",no different from any dedicated 'Dirt-Bike' or the other being as if it was a military-intent machine.My hope is, KTM actually listens & accord some much needed over-due aesthetics changes to this what wud otherwise have been the "New King" & it actually can,for since she now already had all the various plus-points on her side.
