good video, lots of info on the gear ! thank you. Interested in de Shirt... seems one needs to order two sizes up for these shirts. Did you do that ?
@TaivalOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
UF PRO combat shirt? Yeah I ordered 2XL which is indeed two sizes up, but I just ordered based on their sizing chart and the fit is spot on. I have their Striker XT jacket and for that I went with XL. My review (in Finnish but has English subtitles): kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4TZZJZtn72KjJo

Awesome video! I clicked cuz I saw your Hill people kit bag and thinking about getting that V2 , I jave the snubby for now. I kept watching bcuz the video quality is amazing. I read you were using gorpo 8, Do you mind sharing your camera settings? 1080 or 4k ? Linear or wide shot? What color set up on the gopro ? External mic ? Sorry for all the questions. I'm actually interested in upgrading my Gorpro and this video motivated me. Thanks in advance.
@TaivalOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Sure thing! I'm using the second narrowest lens, so yeah I think that was Linear. This is actually "2.7K 60fps" and then slightly reframed to standard 2560x1440 resolution. I've found that shooting 4K drains battery too fast and is quite heavy to edit, this seems to be a good compromise that still allows slight zooming every now and then without huge loss in quality. Basic GoPro color and high bitrate, internal mic. I do color correcting in post where needed and always do audio editing too. Not using external mics because the Media Mod compromises the waterproofness of the camera, or so I've understood. I also try to keep my filming setup as light and convenient as possible, to keep the effort required to pull up the camera minimal.
@JasperBzone3 жыл бұрын
@@TaivalOutdoors Thanks fro responding! That is awesome. I agree, 4K does eat up alot of storage plus its stressful when editing. Well, this definitely makes me want to go back to go pro again when going outdoors. Keep up the great work man!

Why no fires ? A fire-pit with reflector would have been much cozier and great to cook on. Safe travels
@TaivalOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
You're right, but unfortunately Finland's everyman's rights don't include open fires. There are certain locations and areas where that is possible though, but it's quite limited.

Why do you even setup a tarp if there is no rain or wind ?

There's always a chance of snowfall and/or snow falling from the tree branches. And like I say in this video, it did snow during the night.

Seurannut tube kanavaasi jo hetken aikaa. Hienoa sisältöä ja editointia. Onko kuva 4k kuvaa kun niin tarkka? Millainen kuvauskalusto reissuilla?
@TaivalOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Mukava kuulla!

Tämähän on opetettu kaikille viimeistään harmaissa. Ruokaa kunnioitetaan paljain päin.
