REJECTED TAKEOFF! | RC-135W Rivet Joint | RAF Waddington

As we begin to enter that time of the year where there are fewer aviation related things to film, I thought I'd check through the hard drive and see if there's anything I missed. Sure enough, there was!
This footage was taken at RAF Waddington on 4th August when I was there filming the return of the E-3D Sentry after its final RAF operational mission.
Soon after the E-3 landed, this RC-135W Rivet Joint started up and made its way to the runway for what looked to be a regular event - a takeoff. However, after rolling for around 17 seconds, the aircraft slammed on the brakes to abort the takeoff. To this day I'm not entirely sure what the reason for this was.
It was also nice to finally see a Rivet Joint up close. The only other footage I have of one flying was back in 2018 for the RAF's centenary flypast over Buckingham Palace.
