Rekordbox sync with resolume arena.

syncing music always been a challenge but i noticed that Resolume Arena can take that output of Rekordbox using a plugin i got it up and running with in minutes
this can be used for djs playing on cdjs that talk to Rekordbox dj as the dj selects the song they require if the song is a video it will play on the video output of the software then you just take that and bring it into resolume

but in my recent projects involving cdj's 2000 i moved to timecode using timecodesync.com/ or www.tc-supply.com

How did you set it up

i'm using mac so when u downloaded syphon and installed it go into rekordbox DJ its in performance mode and enable syphon output in the preferences windows its under video output. then go into Resolume and enable syphon also, restart Resolume and look for source syphon should show up on the left hand side just drag and drop syphon input onto a layer and it should work as long as you got a music video playing in rekordbox DJ

hi again do you now if its possible to have resolume on a pc computer and the rekorbox dj on a mc book and connect them?you send the rekordbox dj video to the resolume on the pc computer

hi its possible but you require a capture card e.g Magwell Hdmi to usb 3.0 capture card.
