A bunch of people spew this Layer-2's will leave ETH to become their own Layer-1 but why would they do that? I fail to see the upside It would require something similar to the merge and is risky, expensive, and requires a lot of time/development. They pay basically nothing for security currently and only really have to focus on execution while getting most of the fee's. They would also run the risk of losing most of their community that probably only use them because they are "ETH aligned". Can anyone list a couple good reasons to do this and how its worth paying a much larger validator set, requiring more developers, and risking something going wrong? Keep in mind also most of the Layer-2's are built on/with current Ethereum execution layer clients. They would just create the same thing and would only be able to increase node requirements to be anything different/faster. They don't need to worry about any of this if they are a Layer-2.

Excellent podcast guys....Take a look at the BTC daily volume and there is obvious manipulation going on around 10am EST every day. Huge sell off, shaking out loose coins, then buying back up near market close, rinse and repeat the next day. The most obvious view, is the US markets are shut today and it didn't happen........ Theres some big boy shorts being played every day and until the buying volume increases they have the control. The regular pattern is very clear if you look at daily volume over the past month

Once, people start using DEXs, it's game over. It seems that crypto is showing bullish signs, but retail isn't holding and can you talk about what's happening with roaringkittie and gamestop.

The printer is the "knob" that the FED uses to lower interest rates, i.e. quantitative easing. The "target" is the observable reduction (or increase) in the rates after they print or stop. If the target is say 3.25% a year from now then that's about ten 25 basis points cuts in twelve months. If there is an announced recession it could/would go faster sooner. They don't want to show their hand so it keeps everyone guessing. Cuts will continue regardless of the election results because of the debt load. Global liquidity (printing) has already started. Bitcoin follows liquidity so unless there's a recession the number should go up. A lot.

What is the core driver for any one to buy BTC? Just liquidity sloshing around? What is the core use case for it? Store of value? Everything is valued in usd. Nothing useful is priced in BTC only usd. Everyone is waiting for BTC to hit 100k usd to convert to usd to buy their houses, lambos etc.

If you leave the U.S. and live there a while you will soon see that everything is not priced in USD. Cost a beer in New York? $USD 8. Price of a beer in Canada $CA 8, Price of a beer in Ghana GHS 8 (converts to less than a buck). But, do the same comparison for a commodity like oil that has to be imported and THEN you are talking USD and the price is very similar everywhere (modulo vastly different taxation from country to country). Bitcoin provides a mechanism for countries that are held hostage to foreign trade in the USD to escape. In that respect Bitcoin is a geo-political movement and I, for one, am a member. Bitcoin is a great alternative for developing countries to trade in a currency that they can obtain and add to the country's treasury without permission from the pirates of the global financial system.

Wow how the narrative has broken down. A 100k bitcoin as the top would be below even the worst of bear case scenarios 12 months ago. In effect this would mean there isn't a lot of gains to be had anymore as a long term holder (last cycle peak of 65k, and a current peak of 100k would mean an average yearly return of 13-14%).
