If you care about genres, you are most likely missing out on a great deal of good music. Just listen, and try to forget everything you ever have been taught. Ever.
@Chickenviewer6 жыл бұрын
That's kinda dumb. We use labels and genre names because that's how language is used to share ideas. The scientific community does this so, why can't we? This has lead to doors opened because it helps me find more of the type of music I look for. "I like this artist, what's it called? Perturbator? And their music is called retro wave? Cool, now I can use Google to find more shit like it."

@@Chickenviewer I love death metal, black metal, nu metal, newer hip hop and rap and older hip hop. Classical, jazz, funk you name it the only music I don't listen to is generally most kind of of pop and country but there's even some exception for them. The thing is all these labels dont matter as long as you enjoy the music your listening to. I agree its fine to use names for music and no one ever said it was bad to use names but to limit yourself to one genre is closed minded. Also to compare art to science is irrelevant because science has set problems with solutions like math problems whereas music is subjective. Art should be explored with a open mind ya know.

I'm not a feminist or anything but it annoys me because I come across this sort of sexism a lot in this genre. I really love the rawness of it, people are saying it's simplistic & so on, that's the beauty of it. The melodies are chaotic & beautiful at the same time.
