Despite the genre BS wars on later replies even the band themselves have stated at the root they are Death Metal (Brutal and Technical) yet they have a lot of Deathgrind and Grindcore influences the elements being Thrash, Thrashcore, Hardcore, Crust and Powerviolence also Groove with some artists which if you can't hear that in various Thrashy forms then check your ears, This can be heard in Napalm Death, Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation, Misery Index, Carcass to name a few some clearly more Grindcore some clearly more Death Metal + Slayer set the blueprint to this sound imo but others later have taken it to the next level extreme wise

@@safc_ali_ftm1723 hey man, nice observation of metal there. Im 53 in November and love metal in all well most of its forms. Slayer was nothing short of revolutionary for its time imo. They were one of the first bands id heard that used to play around with the idea of the slam riff and i still enjoy listening to them today. DF blew my mind the first time i heard them, fantastic band. But what is with bands today with vocals sounds like a toilet trying to flush after Shrek took shit. Kids don't seem to know what constitutes good musicianship at all these days. Another great band i enjoy are Ingested.

@@whitewolf2868 I'll tell you another artist I've just came across and I should be ashamed for not knowing sooner 'Defeated Sanity', absolutely awesome band - I can not stop listening to the Verblendung track it is f'n amazing! It is from their fourth album this track + the vocals are almost perfect for Brutal Death Metal in fact on this album Konstantin sounds like he is under demonic possession and the band's sound is just flawless musicianship overall! Interestingly I think every album they have done has had a different vocalist which keeps it appealing through variance but for me Passages Into Deformity (4th Studio Album) is one the best BDM albums ever recorded - They also have some jazzy + funky breakdowns too showing how diverse their music influences are while remaining Brutal as F! - PS On what you said about vocals I to agree some bands are just constant hog squeals and it sounds shite! Occasional hog noises OK but when there are no highs, lows, growls, screams and it is just hog squeals and gutteral farting it is lacklustre to say they least - Probably why I never got into full on Goregrind or these so called newer bands hanging on the heels of good quality Death Metal - Deathgrind - Grindcore, I love all extreme music except those shitty styles of vocals, it is like when rap artists use vocoder effects and it spoils their vocals, this is the metal equivalent

I am firmly convinced to-day that, generally speaking, it is in youth that men lay the essential groundwork of their creative thought, wherever that creative thought exists. I make a distinction between the wisdom of age- which can only arise from the greater profundity and foresight that are based on the experiences of a long life- and the creative genius of youth, which blossoms out in thoughts and ideas with inexhaustible fertility, without being able to put these into practice immediately, because of their very superabundance. These furnish the building materials and plans for the future; and it is from them that age takes the stones and builds the edifice, unless the so-called wisdom of the years may have smothered the creative genius of youth

Duane Timlin is a phenomenal drummer. The work he did ion this album is great. Kevin and Trey are great, so is Duane. I have played two gigs with Dying Fetus, and hanging out with Trey after the first gig we talked about this album. And Trey has a lot of Respect for Duane. You have your opinion. And then there is the fact that anyone who plays in Fetus is a stellar musician. Who works there ass off to be in the band. John has high expectations and is a perfectionist. He was super excited to get Duane in the band, partially because Duane played in Broken Hope.
