I've had several friends who've cheated on their spouses and every. single. time. it's because of some past hurt, either with their partner or family. Cheating is a symptom, it's almost never the cause.

This is really difficult because in a lot of ways it blames the person being faithful for the other person’s lack of communication, loyalty and commitment. And that’s absolutely unfair.

Either men or women cheat on their partners is BECAUSE THEY CHOOSE TO. If one needs to be admired, honored etc then they come from a needy state. If the relationship you're in isn't working, then get over it before you jump into a new one.

I don't mind explaining the psychology of cheaters, but people never put enough emphasis on the choice. It's not "why they cheat" it's "why they choose to cheat." Don't imply it's outside of their control by leaving that out.

I just can't with this whole "this is why men..." & "this is why women..." 🙄 We're really still doing this like a billion years later 😂 How about some responsibility, some interiority, individualism... Yes we're all a product of the society and communities we exist in but we're also not one dimensional🤔 or maybe we are I don't know but this idea is pretty unoriginal and lacks nuance is all I'm saying 🤷‍♂️

Sorry, I have to disagree, unless men are really just that unintelligent., because if they're cheating because they seek "admiration" and "respect", do they not realize they're losing BOTH those things by every woman involved. Their partner def isn't going to admire or respect them when they find out and they will and noone respects or admires a cheaters, not even who you're cheating with....she's just wanting your money, help or attention and once she gets it you're just another cheater 👍
