@@rosebush2880 it's definitely the upbringing. Eastern European men typically see their value as providers and protectors first. They would be offended if you, for example, took your wallet out to pay or split a bill at a restaurant. Not to belittle a woman, but to show he is serious and not a couch potato. You know the difference between the teenage couple who’s dating for few months and the adult couple who’s matured together. I somehow felt this was more realistic and a glimpse of how life is as parents. It wasn’t interrupted by fake laughter or stuff to personify that yal cute and “couple goals”. Just by talking and how the conversation went on we could feel how in love yal are. Enjoyed it x

Lavender Stone just a note: just because two people make a couple video where they stop and laugh doesn’t make it an immature relationship. It really depends on mood. This whole excitement =/= maturity thing is stupid. Some people just have different sorts of personalities and that isn’t bad. I’m not in a relationship myself but I find I resonate with both and it honestly irritates me when I see people say things like this

my 2 cents: giving up is not for losers. knowing when to quit is better than to endure something self-destructive for the sake of "not quitting". it's one thing to do everything in your power to make things work, and another to swallow hardship because you can't bring yourself to give up

I really love the way they are with each other. But in some way it looks like Gary want to educate her - I would hate it. Like the situation he was upset with her... That's because of their large age gap. No matter how much he claims he see's her as equal, he still feels superior and wiser to her due to more life experience. He is an older male so he feels somewhat paternal to Valeria. So he wants to take care of her, give her life she wants, give her money etc. Its that dynamic that comes naturally, and i guess Valeria likes that because she is a woman who prefers a man to take care of her. I wouldnt like that either but Valeria does and thats her marriage i guess.

I'm simultaneously Gary and Valeria, more Gary though but definitely as introverted as Valeria. I love this realistic raw honesty it's refreshing from say all the "couple goals" things you see on KZbin and Instagram. I think focusing on realism instead of the superficial would do wonders for this generation. A lot of people preach realism but don't really practice it and it's nice to see people practicing the things they preach. Love the video xx

Thanks Valeria and Gary for this video. Definitely learned a lot in terms of knowing what a good partnership really is. 😊 I think that sometimes we struggle to realize what matters most simply because of the movies we see. We often think about the grand gestures, fairytale-like type of love which can be misleading. It's not wrong to dream. I mean of course as a couple you need to have your goals and make sure you see the same goals together like starting a family, dream destinations and all that. But what matters most is those little moments when you realize that "hey, I found the one". Coz there's nothing that could ever make you doubt that. It's true. When you know, you know. There's no other way I can explain that coz you'll have to experience that yourself. Also I have an additional answer to the question about getting bored after being together for a long time. I think that at the start of the relationship, of course the butterflies are so prominent but when you become comfortable with each other, it doesn't have to completely disappear. In a way you can rekindle the love by simply having a date, some quality time, be spontaneous like preparing a lunch, go to the beach, or check of some things in your bucketlist whether that's having a road trip and stopping to stare at the sunset, or a simple romantic slow dancing in the kitchen. Also, it's not difficult to learn to love what your partner does. Like if he does play video games, which could sometimes annoy you, maybe ask him to teach you play it. Who knows, maybe you'll learn to enjoy it too. Or if you like photography then have a photoshoot session. You be the model, he the photographer, or do it the other way around. Love is not supposed to be complicated. There will be times when you won't see eye to eye, but when you know you're with the person you're going to marry, losing the argument is better than losing your person. And that's the beauty of love. You learn patience, you learn trust, you learn all about what's most important in life. 💖 This has been quite a long comment. I'll just leave you this. I pray that all of us here find the one for us, at a time when we're truly ready and have the best love story with that right one. Better than we have ever imagined. 💝

Regarding what you said about not wanting to raise your children to become spoiled, I actually really love what you do on their birthdays - they have some gifts, but you also sit down and teach them about giving to others who are less fortunate. I think this is a pretty great balance and I am so copying that when I have children

I see how both of you are in the same level of maturity thinking wise and it's amazing! That was the kind of connection I was looking to have in a relationship and glad I found that kind of partner (in my boyfriend who's 7 years older than I am). It makes a lot of things so much easier. It's like finding someone who's willing to listen to you and understand you, support you, in the way you wanted and the way you were willing to do. I love you both. 😘

You are both so grounded and hard working ! Videos like this are such a nice reminder of this fact. I'm so glad you mentioned about your concerns about a privileged life for your kids. My Dad would make us do small chores around the house, earn money through those chores and then pitch in for half of a toy that we really wanted. Much respect for your parenting styles , the boys are lucky !

This is exactly how I see how any kind of relationship i might have has to work: communication, support and respect for each other. And when i see you guys I truly cannot wrap my mind around the fact that there IS such a relationship, that it is not my high expectations or some romanticized fantasy about this concept. I know that everything you have together is a matter of constant work and patience, but I believe it is worth all of that. You guys are amazing for each other and are incredible parents, wish you and your family only the best
