I spent many of summers in Silverton and lived there for a couple years as a kid. We used to ride our bikes up to Silver Lake and slide down the moss covered spillway and splash in to the pool below. Such great memories and a spectacular place to visit.

IT IS TIME FOR AN ETERNAL COMMITMENT: THINGS ARE ONLY GOING TO GET WORSE; we are near or already in the time of Tribulation, as described in the Holy Bible's books of: Daniel 7-12, Luke 17, 21, Matthew 23, Mark 13, Revelation 4-21, Isaiah 2, etc, etc. [Matthew 24:7 "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes."] We are seeing: massive deception, unchecked amounts of blasphemy, self-loving perverts allowed to murder babies, perverts indoctrinating little children, perverts drawing little children into their godless obscenities, treasonous and depraved men running the world, most world leaders in the process of ushering in the NWO, lawlessness, the depraved and perverted legally protected, orchestrated crisis used to destabilize nations, laws enacted to aid the ungodly and to terrorize the righteous, perverts ransacking our nation, wars and rumors of wars, gross climatic changes, famines, pestilences, earthquakes, fires, volcanic eruptions, signs in the sky, the persecution of Christians, a mass-exodus of false-Christians from the church, and all of the usual world problems happening in greater number and magnitude than ever before. We are also witnessing the rise of the kingdom of the Antichrist(NWO); he will pretend to be the savior of the world, however, after 3 and 1/2 years of rule he will unleash all hell upon the Earth. WHY IS THERE SIN IN THE WORLD? In the beginning God made the world perfect and free of sin. He gave the world to our forefathers, Adam and Eve, as a love gift. Adam and Eve sinned and gave the world over to Satan. Since then all of mankind has been born in sin and subjects of Satan, with a one-way ticket to everlasting-hell. WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT IT? There is nothing that can be done for the world at large, the world will continue on getting worse, and the right judgment of God will be unleashed in an ever increasing manner, a manner that only the repentant and forgiven person will be able to endure. HAVING YOUR SINS FORGIVEN, AND TO BE RECONCILED TO GOD, nothing can be done for the world, however, individual persons may experience forgiveness from God. If you have a desire for God's forgiveness, God is already at work in you. [ There is nothing you can DO(WORK) to be saved. If God gives you faith, you may plead for salvation in the name of Jesus Christ. "What is impossible for men is possible in God." All those that come to Him will in noway be rejected. ] Jesus Christ said, not only that, "I'm the way, the truth and the life, and no one can come to the Father but by me.", Christ also said that, "NO ONE can come to Me unless the Father draws him." --obviously, if both of these are true, no one can will themselves to believe. God must first attract the sinner towards Christ in order to be saved. Salvation from sins and true transformation comes when your sins have been forgiven, if you feel led to do so, plead for God's mercy, in the name of Jesus Christ to save you from your sins, and wait for His response --Christ said that, 'if you ask you will receive'. Forgiveness and restoration with God comes through Christ's work and payment of sins upon a cross, Jesus is the only one that did the work for our salvation --This forgiveness is for all those that will come to believe in Him. THE HOLY SPIRIT COMES AND GOES AS HE WILLS, and so it is with salvation, because it's an act that is carried out by the Spirit. --John 14:6 [ Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." ] --Acts 4:12 [ "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name(Jesus Christ) under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!” ] Knowing that the penalty for sin is death(eternal torment in a Lake of Fire); the Bible states, -- Rom 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.", and that we all have sinned, --Rom --3:23-- "for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God", God's method of salvation is a work of the Holy Spirit of God, purchased through the death of Jesus Christ, --John 3:8 "The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but don’t know where it comes from and where it is going. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”, and as it is with the wind, the Spirit will come on the repentant sinner, when God draws that sinner to His Son Jesus Christ, --John 6:44 "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him; and I will raise him up in the last day.". All a person can do is to plead for God's mercy, as in -- Luke 18:13 "And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.".
