If you have, then surely you know what it means to feel Mother Earth beneath your feet. To smell the crisp air and behold the bounty of life in all its myriad forms. The cold wind blows the leaves about, a herald to the coming seasons. Silence surrounds you until you learn to open your mind. To know the sound of the woodland creatures. Unfortunately, no. The only difference between us and them is that they were at the mercy of the natural world. We can appreciate its beauty now because we have, to a large degree, forgotten the fangs. Nature is something to be feared as much as it is to be respected, and while we must show greater respect than in the past for our own sakes, to cast ourselves at its mercy would be very foolish, indeed.

It’s not that they so to speak knew how to respect nature, more to say they did not know how to NOT respect it. Fossil fuels, CFCs, industrialized cities/agricultural developments were non existent. We can not compare ourselves to our ancestors in relation to the mistreatments of nature or our atmosphere. I would say they were for sure more CONNECTED, and maybe we should take time to learn about our roots and do the same. Just remember, nature always wins.

I love the woods in this time of year where I live, because everything is beautiful shades of orange and brown and yellow. It's even more beautiful once the sun starts to set. Sometimes, I'll climb up a semi-tall tree and relax on a tree branch, watching the sun set. It's very peaceful. It also falls in line with my beliefs, because I have it set up so that when I die, I will be buried in this forest. Usage rights - please read: I’m posting the usage rights and important information about my music right here in a comment on every new video so that they’re easily accessible to everyone. =) USAGE: If your project (any project at all, movie, photography, websites, live shows etc.) is non-commercial, which means it doesn't earn you any money, then you can use my music for free. Only given credits are necessary, that's the only condition. Credits would be totally fine as a small text in the movie, website etc. written "Music by Adrian von Ziegler". In live shows and other projects where including a text would be difficult, an oral mention would suffice as well. =) On KZbin and twitch you can also use my music for free even if you monetize your videos by the way! ANY school projects have automatic free permission to use my music, no license payment is required. If the project is commercial, meaning it makes money in any way (except KZbin and twitch, see above), you would have to buy a license for the music you want to use. The license payment would be small in almost all cases except for big budget productions. It would be a one-time payment, so you can use the music you bought forever in that project. It does not give you any rights over the music however, so remixing the music, re-selling it etc. is not allowed. Giving credits is also necessary in commercial projects. Remixing, sampling and other forms of altering the original song into a new piece of music is also generally not allowed unless the remix is 100% non-commercial and labelled with the original title and author of the song (me). Adding bird noises, nature sounds or similar things are allowed. Nightcore alterations are also allowed while non-commercial and labelled with original title and author (Google "Nightcore" in case of confusion). So if your project is non-commercial or a KZbin project, just give credits and there is nothing holding you back from using my songs. ANY song you want. =) If it's commercial stuff just write me a personal message or an email at adrianvonziegler@gmx.ch and inform me about the scale and details of the project and we'll make a deal. REQUESTED MUSIC: I generally do not accept offers to make songs on request or to write music for movies, games etc. One reason is that I can't handle it time-wise but even if I had the necessary time I would still stay away from it because I - quite honestly - don't really like to do it.^^ I basically make music to express whatever topic moves me, randomly. I tried it a few times but I have the best creativity and feel the most freedom and happiness when I do that completely alone and without being “employed” by someone. I hope that’s understandable.^^ Important: I do not allow my music to be used in any project that has a clear political, racist or discriminatory message or is pornographic. By that I mean anything that goes from direct political, racist or discriminatory videos or underlining speeches with my music, onto remixing my melodies into a song that has lyrics with clear political, racist or discriminatory message and similar things that clearly promote these things. Same goes for explicit pornography. Media with nude art is allowed, if not pornographic in nature and purpose. I hope you're having an awesome day, and thanks a lot for being interested in my music! =)

And then I dreamed about it last night, so I had to come back here to listen all the songs again Thank you for this great memory ❤

The genius and beauty of this piece is such that I can't even imagine a story to go with it. With most amazing pieces, I can formulate a story from the music and play it out in my head. But with this... I can't. I'm bewildered. It describes too much... Touches too deeply the deepest emotional recesses of the human mind, heart and soul. It is beyond my current capability to truly understand all the feelings and stories that this music is conveying... But I'm more than happy to keep listening to it until eventually I do understand. :)
@Starkiller105699 жыл бұрын
Benjamin Drinkwater I took that as a challenge to imagine a story to go with it, so here you are. By the way, I typed this in MS Word and copy-pasted it, so please excuse any random underscores where the text should be italicized. “At the fallen tree, turn left off the path, towards the stone outcropping. Follow the etched trees for about 3 miles. Turn right at the stream, and follow it for another mile. That’s where the druid lives. He can help you.” The rickety shack looked as though it had fallen into disrepair some time ago, but the herb garden was well-tended, so someone must still live here. I timidly approached the door, and reached for the handle. I hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to announce myself. I knew very little of this druid, but I had heard that he generally regards those he does not know with contempt and skepticism. I leaned over to the window to look in. It was dusty enough that no light could pass through it. I knocked on the door, softly enough to be civil but hard enough to be heard. I waited for what seemed like an eternity, and I got no response. I knocked again - slightly harder this time. “H-hello? I-is there anyone here?” Still nothing. I knocked again, growing more anxious and impatient with each second. I considered giving up and leaving, but I stayed for a couple more minutes. He must have noticed me - if he’s here, that is. I grabbed the rusted handle, turned it, and pushed the creaking door open. Nobody inside. That’s odd. Out of curiosity, I stepped inside to look around. Shimmering specks of dust drifted through the air. Worn leather-bound books sat on a shelf, glass vials and tubes sat over a pile of charred wood, and a fur pelt was set on a pile of hay in a wooden frame to make a bed. A wardrobe, half open, stood in a corner of the shack. Inside were plain minimalistic robes and shoes - really nothing of interest. I looked closer at the chemistry equipment, and noticed that there were liquids inside the glass vessels. I decided it would be best to leave it untouched. The books had worn golden-colored titles written on them: _The Perfect Cure_ by Gonjar Küron, _Elixirs of Good and Ill_ by Ysolda Hilgrund, _Enchantments and Incantations_ by Bjorn Whitebeard, and a few dozen others. I took one off the shelf, out of curiosity. _Elixirs of Good and Ill_. “This book is an encyclopedia of potions and magical concoctions, with effects ranging from curing illness, to sealing open wounds, to freezing the blood of your enemies or draining their minds of all common wisdom.” I flipped through the pages, skimming through a few pages. Lists of ingredients, instructions for mixing them, and descriptions of their effects. Rather intriguing concepts, if you ask me. But this didn’t answer the question of where this druid fellow had gotten to. I put the book back, right where it was before, and stepped outside again. I looked around to see some signs of him, but he didn’t seem to be interested in showing up. Then, suddenly, a solution occurred to me. I wasn’t here to see him about a very urgent matter, and I was staying in town for a while, so I grabbed a spare piece of parchment from my bag, along with a bottle of ink and a quill pen. I wrote down a note, explaining my need to speak with him, and left it right under the door, so that he would see it as soon as he returned. _Good day, Druid. I’m sorry to address you anonymously, but I don’t have any better knowledge of how you should be addressed. My name is Terence, I’m staying at the Laughing Ogre inn, south of here. I came here on the 31st of March, intending to speak with you about a problem I believe you can help me with. I will remain here for the next three weeks, and I would like to meet you as soon as it can be arranged. Please respond as soon as you can spare a few hours of your time. Hoping you are well, Terence MacLaughlin. Oh, by the way, I hope you don’t mind that I looked around in here a bit. I took care not to disturb your equipment. I looked at one of those books and it really seems to be quite an interesting field of research._

In ancient times, the land lay covered in forests, where, from ages long past, dwelt the spirits of the gods. Back then, man and beast lived in harmony, but as time went by, most of the great forests were destroyed. Those that remained were guarded by gigantic beasts who owed their allegiances to the Great Forest Spirit. For those were the days of gods and of demons...

It's been about two years, and I have since moved to another town, since I've listened to your music, being caught up in other things, as happens ... and ... I believe that he last time I commented was when you had just gotten married, and around that time my mother had passed on, and you commented back to me on that... which meant a lot to me... From the first moment I learned of you, I've felt that we have something deep in common. I am a composer as well, (68 years old now) and never liked to go commercial for the same reasons. I do all my own arranging as well...I feel the same about the usage of anything I have produced... but it has been years since I have composed many songs ( over a decade) as I have been writing a variety of other things and teaching through comments on articles etc... but I have never stopped composing , more or less, spontaneous compositions for my family, friends and myself, as a means of expressing, and speaking to, the vibes of the moment, or the gathering ... because music is my breath of life, you might say.. BUT I'm back (here) and going to be listening to, and sharing, your songs again... We, who live from the heart and spirit, ride the music like surfers of waves, feeling all of life in intricate patterns and being in awe of it, and the joy it brings, to the very heart of the soul, and long to inspire others to follow in our dance ... God Bless you Adrian an give my love to your precious wife Carina... You're one in a million ...and even so, unique I am the RiverLightRider
