🦉📖 *. . . It's a beautiful day for a walk by the bay. The sun is glinting off the gentle waves lapping at the shore. The breeze is cool and insistent, and a deep breath fills your nose with the scent of salt and seagrass, along with the far-off fishy smell of the crabbing docks and fishing vessels in the harbor. The blue of the water and the blue of the sky are cut through by the flights of seagulls. You know if you look closely, you might see other birds too: cormorants, oystercatchers, maybe even a pelican. As you walk out towards the jetty, you pause to watch as fishing boats cruise by on their way out to sea, leaving frothy wakes behind them. They are big and heavy--the fishermen on them look tiny, if you can see them at all--yet they move through the water with a quietude, an ease, that you relish. You know you will stay out here all afternoon, watching these boats, listening to these gulls, until the sun finally sets over the water. Hello! 🛥️🌁⛵🌊 Thanks for coming along on this harbor exploration with me. I took this video while visiting the Oregon coast last week. I haven't done slow-tv type of videos with multiple shots like this before so I hope you enjoy my creative experimentation. Also, I did record the 'down by the bay' intro on the guitar. This was filmed in Newport, Oregon where I lived for several years before moving down the Oregon Coast. These are absolutely beautiful scenes and represent Newport on a perfect day. Newport remains my other top favorite place on the Oregon Coast, just after my hometown of Bandon-By-The-Sea, Oregon. Next to the Newport Bridge, as seen in this video, is the Rogue Brewing Company, my favorite Oregon brewery (on the opposite side across the inlet and on the other side of the bridge, as seen in this video). Newport is an amazing place, with great natural beauty, great beaches, rich history and the Bayfront has amazing food, beer and shopping. Calmed By Nature, you did an outstanding job capturing Newport's ambiance, beauty and charm. Well done!

All your stuff hits a little different. This one brings my inexplicable yearning for the sea painfully in focus...reminds me too much about the arguments with my family about why I would ever possibly consider joining the USCG. They don't understand the pull to the sea, to save lives, any of it. If I bring it up my mom blows up, and I don't want to disappoint her, so I don't tell her I'm considering joining anyway after college anyway. I can't talk with them about it, so I'll enjoy the company of the few wonderful people I've met in the youtube comments and hope my family gets over it one day.

Oh such beautiful bayside! You wonder if you want to move closer to the bay. You decide to. *** Three weeks later, you got most of stuff in and you want to settle in. You listen to the birds next day at 5:50AM and hope to here the water. Once you hear it, you love it. At 8:00AM, your friends come over for a while and take a tour around the city. After that, 2 of them go to work as the other 3 stay. You 4 go fishing and you catch a bluegill, your friend catches a trout, and the 3rd friend catches a salmon. You hear the boats, you hear the water, and you hear the birds singing a lovely song. You go home to check on your vegetable garden and your flowers. The carrots are ready, the wheat that your friend grew is ready and is in the process on the making of wheat bread. You make carrot cake for your friends birthday in a week. Well, you get the ingredients. And 1 day before you make it is your plan. As the afternoon wraps up, they head home, you stay and go to the market and store, go to the stripped district and buy clothes, and head home as 8:45PM rolls around. Ahhh, a beautiful day has ended. You did the most work you have ever done in a while.

I remember last year for vacation, we went to a really pretty beach. As we waited for our house to open up, (we got there early) we got ice cream. There was a dock with ladders and ships behind the ice cream place, and we sat and watched the water glisten in the sun. Afterward we arrived at our house. We picked out a room with a bunk bed, and I was content to read my Wings of Fire books the whole week. (Did I mention we had Snapple? We did. It was the best.) Oh also, the beach was literally in our backyard. And we had a pool table.

Calmed By Nature Holy crap thanks for the lightning fast reply! I think animating dinosaurs would be extremely difficult so I wouldn’t want to force undue stress on you, but maybe some light rain the odd distant dinosaur noise in a forest or, you know the scene where Dr Grant, Tim and Lex are chilling in the tree? That would be incredible to fall asleep to. He’ll anything really I defer to your judgement at this point because your videos have been absolutely spot on, keep up the brilliant work I can only foresee this channel dominating the Ambience part of KZbin with you dedication over time!

@@ethandavies8227 Thank you so much! I'm pretty much always on my computer so I tend to reply quickly. Thanks for sharing your ideas and your consideration for my animation workload ha! I actually do really appreciate that. I sometimes get pretty crazy requests that I have to kindly turn down. Rain and dinosaurs sounds will definitely need to be there. Maybe dinosaurs from far away, or big thunderous footsteps from the T Rex, kind of like listening to actual thunder. Maybe even a scene with the jeeps or something in the jungle. I'll have to rewatch the movie to get more inspiration

It's real! I went to the beach and filmed a real video :) Before I created animated videos I used to create nature videos with my camera. This was a little throwback to those day. Hope you liked it!
