Glad to hear that you are doing ok Ryan! My fiancée and I are considering moving to Tennessee to one of the towns South of Nashville (Franklin, Spring Hill or Columbia), we have booked a trip to visit on the July 4th long weekend for the first time. We will be staying in Franklin, we are also interested in visiting some potential housing communities. Any suggestions on where we should visit both for touring and potential homes?

Thank you, Stephanie! 🙌🏻 Those are great towns to consider! We’re not too familiar with neighborhoods in Spring Hill or Columbia, but the friends we have that live down there all love it! We definitely recommend taking a day and just driving around with no plan and turning into neighborhoods or streets to get a feel for the area! We did that (and still do for fun!) and it really helped us get an idea of the areas we wanted to land in! Are you looking to buy or rent? Do you have a preference on new build vs. an existing home for sale? You'll definitely have to checkout the local firework shows! We love the 4th of July in Tennessee!

I don't know where you're coming from but be prepared for the Heat you will experience that time of year. I have lived in Nashville my entire life and love it but have to admit July / August is my least favorite time of the year here. All of the places on your list are great. As mentioned just drive around to find the vibe that fits you best. You may be able to narrow down where you're looking based on what your budget is for housing. Franklin is awesome but it is very expensive. Nolensville is another nice small town to check out. You may already know that a huge draw to anywhere in Williamson County is the outstanding school system. If you do not have kids in school you may prefer to cross the county line and save money but still be in a great area otherwise.

Other areas to check out are Thompson Station, or for more affordable options Murfreesboro, Hendersonville (North of Nashville) and Dickson Tennessee for a more rural and small-town feel.

@@RyanandMelissaPage Hi thank you for your reply, yes we are planning to drive around and explore the towns and checking out different neighborhoods. We are looking to buy and prefer a new build in a community with a pool etc. We are definitely planning on going to checkout a local fireworks show, most likely in Franklin.
