Growing up at the base of the Rocky Mountains I spent hours and hours in the forest and nearby lakes. The wind whispering through the pine boughs always made me catch my breath and stand still. It made me smile from the inside out and from head to toe. On many an occasion I would sit near a fire with the embers crackling and popping. Often with a mug cradled in my hands filled to brimming with cocoa or another warm beverage to chase the chill from my fingertips. In a world chaos laden these are the moments I hold in my mind when life becomes loud and less than peaceful. My thinking spot in the woods is always just a thought away. Just like this music now and the imagery of the fire that accompanies it. Is there really anything more magic? I think not.

Earlier this month (November 2020), I went camping with my dad for the 2020 Bushcraft Meet with Bushcraft USA. This reminds me of sitting around the campfire with people I hadn't known more than a day before. It was amazing to meet people with similar interests in the outdoors. It's hard to explain the sense of belonging and community I felt there, even though it was both mine and my dad's first time coming to such event. I feel truly blessed to have met them, to have spent time with them, to talk with them, and to bond with them, even if we were complete strangers. I have to be honest about my thoughts on this video and why I love it so much. I have a dear friend who camps out in the bush with his best mate. He has told me about the huge bon fires they have built and shared with other campers. They play the guitar and sing or just sit back and relax by the fire and strum along. Hi Peder! I usually don’t comment on KZbin often but when I do, it’s a sign that I’ve stumbled upon a video of gold that is inspiring and soothing for me. I’m big into the whole nature relax video thing but I’m very particular on what I like. For me, it just has to sound right and your video definitely sounds right to me. I use it for a few different relaxing activities during the summer in the evenings. By far one of my favorite ones is reading in the fading light on a warm summer evening while sipping a cup of hot tea while I listen to this and it really clears my mind. It’s during this time I can effectively reflect on what I got accomplished for the day and puts me on track for a great new day in the morning. It’s also equally effective for the winter time when I’m tired of seeing snow and I’m ready for summer. Listening to this reminds me that spring and summer are on the way. it’s people like you that I’m grateful for finding on KZbin making me a happy camper (haha get it?)🤪 thanks for this masterpiece and please create more:)

The Campfire reminds me a lot of the home I used to live in. There was a fireplace there and I'd always get up close to it looking through the tiny gate that covered it. Hearing it crackle and the nice warm feeling would make me calm and relaxed. Also reminds me of the bonfires at parties or the beach with friends and family. Celebrating a birthday or just getting together for a feast and talk a little. Singing and laughing. Dancing around the fire and pointing a laser up in the sky. It was fun and calming back then. Hardly any drama

When I was a kid and living in the country, we use to have a camp fire and roast marshmallows. Then when I got older I worked at a state park in the campground in the evening and I would see and smell all the campfires too. That was the best job I ever had and didn't care the pay was the worse I had ever gotten.

Peder, I cant thank you enough for what you do. I battle with various mental health issues including chronic suicidal thoughts/ideations and self harming thoughts as well as actually self harming. About a month, 2 months ago I bought a bluetooth speaker. At night when I go to sleep, I hook it up to my phone and find a new track of yours I haven't listened to and play it to help me sleep. Listening to your music combined with other things I've been doing, I havent had suicidal thoughts etc for about 2 months now including no self harm. So thank you, big time, for been a part of my recovery and healing. I'm now 32 years young and since I was 3 weeks old, I've been camping with many campfires had so this will take me back to my childhood :) thank you :)

I still play relaxing music at night but now have 2 good quality speakers I hook up and play soft music :) 3.5 months self harm free now, every now and again have relapses but I know I can make it years

I am terminally ill and will soon be gone. I am so excited about returning home to the Spirit Realm. A place of breathtaking beauty, sublime peace, healing and joy. Most of all love, the meeting once again of loved ones passed on. I love the Earth and have been happy to experience life here but its been hard.

Honestly I've never had a past like this, you know, camping with friends and these kind of stuff... But it makes me think when I was in LA a few years ago, in a beach with an amazing sunset in front of us and talking with people from all over the world I didn't know but felt like we were friends since forever. If there was this fire and this amazing music, it would have been more and more wonderful

Can we talk about how this sound gives us flashbacks from our childhood when we were outside, it was sunny and everything seemed so much brighter and more colorful? It reminds me of the time when we didn’t have any problems and were just enjoying our childhood while playing on the grass 🥹

I had put this when I went to a resort with my family. There was campfire at night. It was a hilly area so the weather was cool and chill. There were tall trees all around since it was an estate. Food was being prepared. Sky was clear and it was a night full of stars. I played this music there for first time.. ❤️ got the peace that I was looking for 😌. Felt calm. Thank you! 🙂✨

Hello Pedar in Norway! This is my absolutely favorite go to relaxing video!! Almost every night I listen for about 2 months now. Sometimes I lower the volume so it sounds like I'm listening to someone at another campfire gently strumming their guitar. My mind drifts to all the camping we did as a family in the 60's & 70's. Some of the happiest times and memories of my life. Thank you for sharing with the world, it's beautiful!

Wish I could be sitting by that fire and just talk with someone. To reflect on the past, to contemplate the future and know what it means to be strong, what it means to be happy, what it means to have an be a friend, these are just some of the things I am looking to answer. I wish I could just start over erase my mistakes so I could make the right decisions. Although if I did start over again who would I be? What would my new life be like? Would it be better in the long run or just temporary peace?
